一般的歌曲，因為他的聲響要符合大多數的人喜好，所以對於不和諧的聲響的使用
是比較少用的，不過並不是完全不使用這個和絃。
減和絃本身主要以兩種功能存在，一是省略根音的屬和絃，這個功能來自於它與屬
七和絃相同的減五度，簡單的說，Bdim的組成音BDF，是G7的的後面三個音。
因此，比如說你可以試試看C→Bdim→Am→Em。
第二種常見的功能是做為線性連結的一部份，常見的例子是放在兩個根音相距為全
音的和絃中，比方說C→Dm中間放入一個C#dim，不過這個用法其實和第一種是一樣
的，因為對Dm來說，C#dim是一個省略根音的A7，而A7是Dm的屬七和絃。
