四面楚歌——誰會知那是一個怎麼樣的情況？
當你在一個偏僻得要命的地方，救起了一隻眼鼻出血、盤骨移位、用盡生命最後力量雙腳交叉著逃跑的撞車狗，他瞪著眼驚恐地看著你，大口大口歪著咀巴喘氣，那時，你就會理解——動物的生命，可以被人類迫害得如何無助。
多少次，車上載著瀕死抽蓄失禁的撞車毛孩，腳狠狠地踏著油門，臨到診所，毛孩慘叫，我們的心臟仿佛停頓了——而毛孩，心臟也停止了鼓動。小川，昨午在打鼓嶺救起的撞車狗，檢驗下下顎斷裂、牙齒飛出、大腿骨三重折斷、盤骨斷開移位，嚴重內出血⋯⋯
救不了。
大家一定會問：司機呢？有車牌能否告司機？抱歉——不能。在香港的過時交通法例中，只有七種列明動物受交通法保障，而當中，並不包括貓和狗。於是，毛孩在公路上被司機無意、刻意或惡意撞傷撞死，司機並不需要停車通報，亦無須負上任何刑責。
香港動保法，落後；
然而這並不代表，最後；
我們要改變。
毛守已聯絡數個不同政黨、動保機構及義工，共同關注道路交通條例，至少盡力為弱勢浪流生命爭取多一點點保障。這意味著——有民意，就有希望。只要有足夠聲音，至少能把議題搬到討論層面上去。

Hit and run tragedy is happening everyday in our city.
Paws Guardian receive badly injured cats and dogs from fatal car accidents everyday.
This is heartbreaking and devastating that most of them are left to dead at the road side.
According to Road Traffic Ordinance in Hong Kong, only seven listed animals are protected under the traffic law; however, cats and dogs are not included. Stray dogs and cats that are unintentionally, deliberately or maliciously bruised or killed by car are not protected by the ordinance. Involved drivers DO NOT need to notify any authorities after the car crash and DO NOT need to take any criminal responsibilities for their reckless act of hitting an animal.
Paws Guardian believes all lives should be treated equally.
Therefore, we have contacted different political parties, animal organisations and volunteers to work together on modifying Road Traffic Ordinance in Hong Kong. We determined to bring up our concerns on social level and we need your voice!
