「我喜歡,以麵包閱讀世界」I never noticed the beautiful tagline ‘I love seeing the world through bread’ that is printed on Wu Pao Chun Singapore paper bag until last Saturday when I met the humble founder at Wu Pao Chun’s first ever baking workshop in Singapore.
If you still do not know who he is, Chef Wu brought glory to Asia by winning in the Coupe Louise Lesaffre in 2008, which is known to have influenced the bakery trade in Taiwan. With 5 outlets in Taiwan, both locals and tourists will throng to his outlets to buy his exquisite breads even till today. Singapore was picked as the first Southeast Asia stop to grow internationally. It was a privilege to learn alongside him in this FIRST workshop in Singapore, where he gave us a peek into his award-winning masterpiece, Lychee Rose Royale.
We had fun decorating the limited season’s Christmas Lychee Rose Royale and felt so inspired after enjoying a wonderful tea time with Chef Wu Pao Chun. Chef started bread making after high school to support himself. Even after so many years, Chef never stopped learning, traveling to Japan and Italy to learn from other master Bakers. His passion and love for the craft keeps him going.
It was a lovely Saturday well-spent and everyone brought home the limited season’s Christmas Lychee Rose Royale which they have baked! Thank you Wu Pao Chun Singapore for the opportunity. Till the next!

With the tagline 'Greater Flavours With Little Effort' to celebrate Panasonic Latest Electric Oven Model NB-H3800SSK, I was at Panasonic Malaysia Baking Workshop to showcase the amazing functions & ease-of-use of the oven with 2 wonderfully simple but tasty desserts recipes ~ Salted Egg Yolk Cheesecake with Kellogg's Corn Flakes Crust & Unicorn Cupcakes with handsome chef Collin Edward Lim.
