Had a fun ride with the Thai group! Thanks to our nice Japanese guide for leading us along the route the whole day. It's always great to make new friends through cycling... It's our best mutual language which can cross nations.

Why go to Matsumoto? All the things I was planning to do on my cancelled Japan trip in Nagano prefecture and the Japanese alps!
A new series sharing places from my Japan wishlist, to give you ideas for places to go and introduce things to do in Japan you might not have thought of, and hidden spots away from the usual tourist destinations. Here's why I wanted to go to Matsumoto, and all the things you can do on day trips around Nagano prefecture, including Matsumoto Castle, artwork by Yayoi Kusama, Daio Wasabi Farm, cycling in Azumino with views of the Japanese alps, hiking in the mountains in Kamikochi, the amazing snow walls of the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route and Lake Suwa (from the anime film Your Name!). I've also included some train passes you can get for the area, including the JR East Pass I was going to use.

星飛雅很愛旅日，尤其是用自行車旅行

是飛新千歲機場

其中＂劍淵町＂真的很值得一去

＂朱鞠內湖＂是日本第一大人造湖，真的很美，好像歐洲
夏天：划獨木舟~露營
冬天：釣魚~雪上摩托車
費用親民的放鬆之地
