大學是美式足球校隊的外接員(Wild Receiver)，1986年甚至在NFL選秀第11輪被底特律雄獅隊選中，但是在訓練營拉傷腿肌被釋出。
之後進入NASA實驗室工作，在1998進入太空人訓練計畫。2008年及2009年才獲得兩次升空進入國際太空站的機會。退休前，在太空待了565小時。
Leland 極度愛狗，從照片中看的出來，並在美國寵物節目Dog Whisperer (報告狗班長)中第七季有出場過。

吃完娘惹laksa后就去附近花圃买花盆，巧遇一位晋升为“Plant Whisperer花卉美容师”的朋友Miki。Dog Whisperer和Ghost Whisperer我听过啦，但Plant Whisperer还是第一次听到💪🏼。今天我当然抓住机会要她在现场帮我选几棵小植物呀。
有专家在场“灵谢”不同的，她提点我什么植物难种，眼前看到美因为刚从金马仑运下来，但不久后会因天气而变得“郁郁寡欢”甚至枯萎，还有告诉我各种植物的开花期长或短，等等。
她邀请我去她家参观，看看她细心栽种照料的花草，喜欢的话还可以买回家。
这idea不错哦，经她照料过一段日子的花草，让她有时间了解它们的“个性”，存活率和长大后变美的几率会相对高一些💪🏼
看完花就去喝咖啡咯。

So, I got the opportunity to meet Cesar and he gave solid advice for my doggo. I've loved animals my entire life and wanted to truly understand them. I'm slowly getting there and it really comes down to 'energy'. I'm not going to get too spiritual with it. Maybe another time lol
