Recreated in textured detail: Gia Coppola’s shoot for A Magazine Curated By Alessandro Michele in the room of the exhibit at Taipei’s Wine Brewery Factory. The photo portfolio shot in the desert landscape of Joshua Tree in California were inspired by Peter’s Weir’s film “Picnic at Hanging Rock”. Desert sand is scattered on the room’s floor and the images are displayed easel stand style, like a painter’s work frame, where an image is placed either side of the display, and shown, as originally conceived in the magazine issue—with short poems by Rowan Blanchard as accompanying tapestries or as a spoken word soundtrack. The exhibit runs from May 13-24.
