Set off with Yara Shahidi, Dior global ambassador, as she receives an exclusive tour of the 'Christian Dior: Designer of Dreams' exhibition at the Brooklyn Museum on.dior.com/designer-of-dreams in the company of curator Florence Müller. Wowed by the scale of creativity showcased, and the strikingly different interpretations of Monsieur Dior's legacy, she explores each thematic display before culminating with the tarot-inspired Spring-Summer 2021 Haute Couture outfit by Maria Grazia Chiuri the actress and activist had previously worn herself.

'Christian Dior: Designer of Dreams' curator Florence Müller relates the story of the kindling of Monsieur Dior's love affair with New York in this illuminating video that also explains how the founding couturier would open a couture house in the city in 1948 to cater to the American woman, pieces from which appear in the exhibition on.dior.com/designer-of-dreams running at the Brooklyn Museum until February 20, 2022.

本展以古今對照詮釋動物在形態、歷史、生態的流轉，並連結到當代生活，從藝術x科技x自然的連結打開認識「藝獸」的新視野。
This exhibition juxtaposes the ancient and modern to explore the changes in the form, history, and ecology of animals, and proceeds to link these to contemporary life using art, technology, and nature, thereby creating a new perspective by which viewers can appreciate artistic beasts.

「藝想獸譜─故宮x新竹241新媒體藝術展」將首度展演故宮的「數位獸譜」，不但以新媒體藝術翻轉院藏書畫中的動物，本次更首度邀請新竹市立動物園的動物成員，一同打造古今x虛實的數位獸園。
This exhibition, Bestiarum Vocabulum: NPM x Hsinchu 241 New Media Art Exhibition, marks the debut of the “Digital Bestiary” created by the National Palace Museum, which employs new media art to provide a fresh perspective on the animals depicted in the painted scrolls of the Museum collections. In addition, this exhibition has also invited the Hsinchu Zoo for a first-time collaboration on a digital zoo that combines ancient, modern, real, and imaginary elements.

本展將透過「按圖索獸」、「藝獸誕生」、「藝想生態」三大主軸，探索故宮的動物圖像從古代的卷軸冊頁轉譯至當代的投影布幕，從畫筆變換至新媒體所累積的形態萬千，如何與當代視角連結，成為藝想天開的「獸譜」。「按圖索獸」以〈坤輿全圖〉為揭幕，一窺清宮對歐洲自然史和動物史知識的傳播與演繹，展出「南懷仁的坤輿世界」擴增實境，以17世紀時代視角的「異獸」，開啟本展序幕；該區特別以新竹市立動物園中的「現代動物」與院藏動物圖像中的「歷史動物」展開創意互動對照。
Through three primary themes, “Finding Beasts with the Aid of Drawings,” “The Birth of Artistic Beasts,” and “Ecosystems of Artistic Imagination,” this exhibition explores the process of how animal drawings on ancient painted scrolls and albums are transferred to modern screens, and how new media can replace paintbrushes to generate myriad creative effects that integrate with modern perspectives to produce a bestiary of phenomenal artistic imagination. “Finding Beasts with the Aid of Drawings” opens with the Kunyu Quantu (Great Universal Map), offering a glimpse of how knowledge of European natural history and zoological history spread in the Qing Court and how this information was interpreted. The augmented reality work, The Universal World of Ferdinand Verbiest, is displayed here, and presents the 17th century view of rare beasts as an opening prelude to this exhibition. This section also includes a collaboration with the Hsinchu Zoo to provide a creative interactive comparison of modern animals in the Zoo with the historical animals depicted in works from the Museum collections.

A CARNIVAL OF FANTASIES: A Special Exhibition of 21st Century Museums at the Southern Branch of the NPM is co-organized by the National Palace Museum (NPM), Musée du Louvre, Tate Modern, Musée de l'Orangerie, Alte Nationalgalerie, and the Mucha Foundation. It will soon send you on a fantastic journey through civilization across the physical and virtual realms.

嘉年華 (Carnival) 廣泛代稱慶典，源自中世紀 「狂歡節 」。屬於東方的歡樂節慶，可在歷代風俗畫中窺見，而 20 世紀蘇聯思想家巴赫金認為 「狂歡節 」亦是一場精神感官的釋放，呼應本次策展以 「新媒體藝術 」獻給觀眾一 場穿梭文明珍奇的 「幻境狂歡 」。本展除了呈現故宮近年屢獲國際大獎的虛擬實境、擴增實境及混合實境，更結合 來自多座世界頂尖博物館的精彩虛擬實境製作。展覽以故宮近年豐碩的新媒體藝術為主軸，規劃 「璀璨光河 」 、 「故宮啟航 」 、 「羅浮宮驛站 」「美學世界 」四大展區，展覽更以 「奇」字象徵博物館的珍奇藏品，「幻」字則開展科 技世界下的虛擬幻境，交織一場虛實共舞的流動盛宴。

The word "carnival" originated from the medieval period and is widely used to mean "celebration," while festivals in the East can also be found in genre paintings throughout history. Mikhail Bakhtin, the 20th Century Soviet philosopher, believed that "carnivals" were a release of the spirit and senses. Bakhtin's ideas cohere nicely with the exhibition theme as new media art brings visitors a perception of illusion and polysensory experiences. In addition to presenting the National Palace Museum's award-winning virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), mixed reality (MR) programs and other new media artworks, the exhibition will also feature incredible virtual reality experiences from leading museums around the world. This exhibition is divided into four sections: "River of Time," "NPM Voyage," "The Louvre Station" and "Aesthetic World". The other worldly features of the exhibited works are also embedded in the exhibition's Chinese title, with the word " 奇 " symbolizing the museum's rare and invaluable collections, and the word " 幻 " referring to the virtual fantasies created with modern technology.

人類生於自然，以描述、紀錄、研究等方式認識萬物，造就了燦爛的文明與美不勝收的藝術品。然而在近代，在人們享受資源與便利的同時，也對地球產生了巨大的衝擊。

由國立故宮博物院、宜蘭縣立蘭陽博物館、國立臺灣博物館三個各具特色的館所合作舉辦「生態想想一故宮 x 蘭博×臺博聯合特展」，結合多元文物、動物標本與其他藏品，以故宮文物發想設計的多媒體藝術展件進行串連，展示人類對天地萬物探尋的過程。從傳說轉繪成海中萬物，到工具繪製世界地圖;從天馬行空的海錯奇珍，到肌理斟酌的飛禽走獸，這些有著動植物圖像的文物皆記錄了人類探索世界的歷程。

人類從大自然獲得靈感轉化到生活中，從食器裝飾到更高層次的藝術性呈現，都能找到與自然的連結。自然給我們的也許不只是能源，也有著生命、藝術的能量，且這些寶藏都不是取之不盡的。我們對地球的任意奪取以及破壞已開始反撲至人類自身。人們應意識到其嚴重性，著手進行生態環境保育的工作。

在「生態想想」展覽中，希望觀眾能透過當代科，從賞心悅目的文物出發，去認識、欣賞、尊重生態環境。
