These days everything is about the bum and it's always squat squats, which is fine but don't neglect the other muscles you don't see, which are your hamstring. If you have weak or tight hamstrings, your body may compensate by tilting your pelvis forward, placing stress on your lower back. Next stop: injury and postural abnormalities.
Here are a couple of exercises i do to strengthen my hamstrings which can be done at home. Get yourself a swiss ball and try out these.
Hamstring Curl 15x 5
Single leg Hamstring Curl 15 x 5
Go for 10 to 12 reps for 5 sets.
Bonus, work on your core and balance
Knee tucks on the ball 15 reps x 5 sets
Have fun, no excuses unless its your rest day.
