"Good afternoon, everyone. We are Angel the Great Magician, Ariel the Cute Magician and Asher the Handsome Magician!"

Haha, yup, this was how these three began the magic show which was one of the biggest highlights of the party. Seeing their happy smiles made all those hours of staying up to do the costumes and decorations worthwhile and it's this rewarding feeling that keeps me going party after party.

We kept things simple this time but added a personalised touch including a cake topper which says "The Magic is In You" and a photo of the trio, string decorations which the girls helped to put up, magic related standees like a bunny in a hat, poker cards and three figures to represent the three of them, DIY costumes and a stage backdrop. It probably took us less than two weeks in total to print, cut and stick everything and I was thankful for the extra hands in setting up. Yup, that's the good thing about having more kids!

We were also very thankful to have Ian of @truevinekidsmagic who hopped over to perform a 30-minute close-up magic show just for us. My kids were left in awe, the grandparents were bewildered and I was amazed that we still couldn't figure out how he did those magic tricks despite standing just one-metre in front of us. I especially loved it when he made Thanos' infinity gauntlet appear on screen which then magically pulled out a poker card that we chose from a deck of cards. How did that happen??!

We ended off the party with a yummy steamboat followed by a cake cutting ceremony where we finished up every bit of the ice cream cake we bought. The kids continued playing and sharing more magic tricks with each other and we only called it a night past 10:30pm. Fwah, luckily it's the school holidays. Haha.

This is the last party of the year for us, other than Christmas gatherings, and I am just thankful that we pulled it off. December is really a time to celebrate, rejoice and cherish all the good things and loved ones around us. Love you, my dears! ❤

[ 走進最幸福國度：夏日芬蘭 ]

夏日芬蘭，一片藍。

不少人喜歡冬天到北歐看極光，但殊不知在夏天來到，有別樣的風景。芬蘭有超過18萬個湖泊，因此又稱為「千湖之國（Lake land）」。這次來到位於North Savo地區的Kuopio市區，當然也是在湖邊。

坐船遊湖，沿途看見不少小島，島上樹木高聳，木造小屋隱身其中，彷彿置身童話森林。島上許多小屋其實是芬蘭人的度假屋，因為在芬蘭，無論大人或小朋友都能享有四至五個星期的暑假，逃離工作，好好與家人休息，真正的Work life balance。芬蘭的夏天雖然也有陰天下雨時，但壞天氣完全無阻他們的興致，「沒有壞天氣只有壞衣著品味（No bad weather only bad clothing）」，隨遇而安、知足、與大自然共存，無怪乎在聯合國近日公布的《2020年全球幸福指數報告》中，芬蘭再度榮居榜首，連續三年成為「全球最幸福的國家」。

時間在芬蘭定格

芬蘭的夏天有24小時白晝，有時候會誤以為才中午，怎料一看時間才知已快將近晚上9時。所以在這裡，總是會時空錯亂。好不容易在晚上10時多，終於迎來日落，一般港澳人趁著這Magic moment瘋狂打卡，但芬蘭人絲毫沒有心急，依舊悠然自得地享受忽然多出來的時間，因為知道日不會完全落下。所以夏天特別多各式各樣的音樂會，不止在大城市如首都赫爾辛基（Helsinki）舉辦，還有其他小城市。

冰凍外表下的慢熱魂

來這裡前，以為北歐是快樂國就肯定人人會掛著一個笑臉，誰知同行芬蘭朋友說，一般芬蘭人面無表情，一張「Poker face」。最經典例子是F1方程式芬蘭賽車手Kimi-Matias Räikkönen，人稱「冰人（Ice Man）」，無論喜怒哀樂，都是同一表情。

的確，除了和我們一起的朋友以外，在途中遇到的芬蘭人確是面無表情，無論你有多興奮，他們極其量只會嘴角翹起一下，接下去又是面無表情，讓我們一直猜度是否太嘈吵？他們是否不耐煩？讓我們這班「大鄉里」坐立不安。那知後來一問之下，才知道實際上他們並沒有生氣，而且還很高興呢！所以說，來到芬蘭你唯一要清楚知道一個人的心情，是直接問，千萬別靠估。

當你認識了他們以後，就會發覺其實芬蘭人都是非常友善而可愛的。那到底要怎樣認識他們呢？夏日將會是一個絕佳時分，因為除了有許多戶外的大型音樂會，還有許多戶外活動可以參加，例如芬蘭桑拿浴、野外電動單車、划獨木舟、摘野生草莓、行山、湖邊散步、跳進湖裡暢游⋯⋯非常寫意自在。

來到這裡，大家像忽然有了共同話題似的，可能彼此分享共同多出來的時間，因此特別懂得享受這段快樂的時間，像一同慶祝某場盛大的宴會。

這場宴會，慶祝的是無止盡的時間。

來到這裡，忽然明白，原來當你感覺你有無盡的時間時，內心會忽然沒有了恐懼，因為終於覺得有很多時間可以做自己想做的事，何必趕呢？毋需追趕著誰，好好活在當下便好。

● Marine Bear series
○Product description

We've made our ever-popular Teddy Bear series even more adorable with the addition of Teddy's friends, Deer and Squirrel. With soft look-alike fur and glass bead eyes, they almost look like they might be alive. Come take a closer look!

Made in bright, lovely tri-color material, the understated logo and poker card motif pattern allow the animal designs to shine. On the cuffs and hems, small chemical lace ribbons add detailing.

The back portion employs a sewing technique called shirring, making it very easy to wear. And so that it stays cool even in summer, it does not have a lining, but the skirt includes a petticoat to protect your modesty.

This series takes the humble garden hydrangea and turns it into an art canvas-like print. Delicate lace lines the hems, and hydrangea petals and butterflies are scattered throughout this elegant dress.

Both of the ribbons in front can be undone with corsage pins.

There are tulle lace butterflies on both the neck ribbon and the ribbon hairclip. When incorporated into your hairstyle, it appears as if butterflies are resting on your head.

Available in 3 colors: purple, blue and pink.

●Chiffon Tiered series

This jumper features a luxurious tiered skirt design, reminiscent of classical antique dolls.

The edges of the skirt are heavily lined with frills made from the same cloth, resulting in a voluminous, yet casual look thanks to the soft Nashiji (Japanese dimpled texturing technique) applied. The corset-like, structured design of the top which sports a lace-up back, together with the pannier worn underneath the skirt propping it up, lends a lively beauty to the overall silhouette.

The 2 ribbons in front can be removed with a corsage pin.
