The ritual of afternoon tea in England was introduced by Anna, the 7th Duchess of Bedford. This colonial legacy is now very much a social snacking trend with many establishments in Penang serving it with their own special twist. Pictures in this album taken at Kebaya Restaurant & Baba Bar (Seven Terraces, Stewart Lane) with ROZZ and Mei Lin offering an intimate afternoon over the Sunday Nyonya Tea, traditional afternoon tea at Suffolk House (Jalan Air Itam) and finally Botanica Mansion (Jalan Sungai Air Putih, Balik Pulau). A cup of tea may not be the answer to every problem, but it puts you in the right frame of mind to face it!
