運動前熱身重點
不正確的運動方式容易造成運動創傷,熱身運動就是最常被忽略的一環;熱身能提升體溫、增加肌肉彈性及神經靈敏度,更可增加肌腱及靭帶的延展性,減少拉傷肌肉的可能。
何謂足夠的熱身運動?要視乎年紀、體質、天氣、運動強度而定,進行帶氧運動例如慢跑,需要的熱身時間相對短;如進行短期爆發且高強度的無氧運動,例如100米賽跑、籃球、欖球等,需要的熱身時間相對長,目的是令體溫上升、心跳頻率增加,達到輕微出汗的程度,令身體能盡快適應運動強度。然而熱身時間並非越長越好,如過度的話會造成體力下降或疲勞,影響運動效果。
簡易熱身運動推介:
👩🏻 頭頸
右手放在頭部左側,把頭輕輕往右面壓,讓右耳拉近肩膊,維持動作約15秒,換左手重覆動作。
💪🏻 上肢
舉高右手,屈曲並以指尖點着背部,左手將右手踭向左拉,令右肩有拉緊感覺,維持動作約15秒,左手重覆動作。
🦵🏻 下肢
動作一:前後腳站立,腳尖向前,腳跟著地,前腳屈曲,後腳拉直,上身保持垂直重心向下壓,令後腳小腿肌肉有拉扯感覺,維持動作約15秒,換另一隻腳重覆動作。
動作二:右腳向後屈起,以右手從後握着右腳腳掌,用點力向上拉,大腿保持伸直讓肌肉有拉扯感覺,可找扶手協助平衡,維持動作約15秒,左腳重覆動作。

Warm-up before exercising
Improper exercise forms and motions can cause injuries, and more often than not, it is due to the lack of warm-ups. Warming up can increase the body temperature, improve the elasticity of muscles and the sensitivity of nerve receptors, hence, reducing chances of injuries.
So, how long should a warm-up last? It depends on the individual’s age, body constitution, the weather, and the intensity of the sport. Aerobic exercises such as slow jog would require a shorter warm-up time.
On the other hand, anaerobic exercises that are of short length with high intensity such as 100m dash, basketball, and rugby warrants a longer warm-up. This is to increase the body temperature and heart rate and to help the body to sweat a little, so the body can get accustomed to the intensity more effectively.
Yet, it does not mean the more time you spend on warm-up, the better it is, because excessive warming up can reduce the stamina and cause exhaustion even before the actual sport takes place.
Some simple warm-ups:
💪🏻 Head and Neck
Place your right hand on the left side of your head and gently push your head towards the right side until the right ear is close to the shoulder. Keep the position for 15 seconds. Repeat with left hand on right side of head.
💪🏻Upper limbs
Raise your right hand and bend it downwards with finger tips touching your back. Use your left hand to pull your right elbow towards the left until you feel tightness on the right shoulder. Keep the position for 15 seconds. Repeat with left hand.
🦵🏻 Lower limbs
Action 1: Stand with one leg in front of the other, point the feet to the front, and make sure the ankles are on the ground. Bend the front leg and straighten the other. Keep the body straight and lower the center of gravity, so you can feel tension on the calves. Maintain the same position for 15 seconds and repeat the same process for the other feet.
Action 2: Bend the right leg backward and hold the feet with the right hand. Pull the leg upward as much as possible, but keep the thigh straight and make sure there is tension in the muscles. Use a handrail to stabilize the body, if necessary. Maintain the same position for 15 seconds and repeat the same process for the other feet.

曬後清熱消暑湯
夏天與陽光玩遊戲後,就算沒有曬傷或中暑,感受了暑熱之邪,都有機會出現頭暈、頭痛、胸悶、口乾、疲倦等不適症狀,是因為身體一時間未能散走熱氣所致,所以曬後不妨飲用有清熱消暑功效的湯水,夏天瓜果當造,常見的冬瓜、老黃瓜、節瓜、合掌瓜等均有清熱消暑功效,配搭有解暑熱、清頭目、降脂減肥功效的荷葉煲成湯水,特別適合夏天消暑飲用。
食材小貼士:
茯苓性平,有健脾滲濕、安神功效,適合各種體質人士食用。
西洋菜冬瓜薏米湯
功效:清熱利濕、消腫減肥,紓緩身體四肢困重、肥胖等症狀。
材料:西洋菜1束(約1斤)、冬瓜連皮600克(約1斤)、乾瑤柱3-4枚、生薏米30克、茯苓15克、蜜棗2枚
做法:
1. 所有材料洗淨,西洋菜常藏有小昆蟲,以鹽水泡二十分鐘,再沖水備用。冬瓜連皮切大塊備用。
2. 鍋中加入2500毫升水,放入全部材料,武火煮至水滾,調文火煮1小時,最後下鹽調味即可。

Soup to clear heat after sun exposure
We might not develop a sunburn or heat stroke after playing under the hot summer sun, but there is a high chance for us to feel dizzy, get a headache, have tightness on the chest, experience dryness in the mouth, and feel exhausted after being exposed to the pathogenic factor of the summer-heat, as the body is not able to effectively dissipate heat under such a condition.
It would be great to consume soup that can clear the summer-heat. Melons and gourds such as winter melon, old cucumber, zucchini, and Gassho melon are harvested during summer. They all have heat-clearing properties and are suitable ingredients to make soup with lotus leaf, which can dissipate the summer-heat, clear the mind and brighten vision, and lower the cholesterol levels. This soup is especially suitable for individuals to consume during the hot summer season.
Tips on ingredient:
Poria with Hostwood is mild-natured. Calms the heart and mind, strengthens the spleen. Suitable for all body types.
Astragalus root and blighted wheat soup with millet
Effects: clears heat and dispels dampness. Reduces bloating and aids weight loss. Relieves symptoms such as fatigue, heavy limbs and fat.
Ingredients: 1 bunch of watercress(around 1 catty), 600g winter melon with skin(around 1 catty), 3-4 dried scallop, 30g coix seed, 15g poria with hostwood, 2 candied dates
Preparation:
1. Rinse all ingredients thoroughly. Watercress is prone to small insects so soak in salt water for 20 minutes, then rinse again with regular water. Cut the winter melon into large chunks.
2. Combine all ingredients with 2500ml of water in a pot and cook on high heat until boiling. Turn to low heat and simmer for 1 hour. Add salt to taste.

Q:坐月不能開冷氣嗎?
A:香港夏天炎熱又潮濕,產婦如果盲目跟從傳統坐月方法,不吹冷氣以致大汗淋漓會引起衛生問題,室內宜溫度舒適及空氣流通,只要將冷氣溫度調至24至26度,風口不會直吹產婦及嬰兒便可。
Q:坐月為甚麼不能碰「生水」?
A:老一輩認為產婦接觸生水,寒氣會進入身體,容易造成身體畏寒、腰背痠痛等病症,現代人可以調校暖水使用,洗手後立即抹乾便可。
Q:可以趁坐月時減肥嗎?
A:生產後不宜立即減肥,因為身體需要時間復原,胡亂節食可能會出現寒凝血滯、惡露未能排淨、或引寒氣入內而致風寒感冒、甚至眩暈等不適症狀,建議產後至少六個月後才開始減肥,適量進食健脾補氣袪濕的食材調理,配合運動及飲食健康瘦身。
Q:坐月時外出要由頭包到腳嗎?
A:坐月不鼓勵產婦外出,是因為要爭取時間休息,如果無可避免要外出例如到健康院覆診,只要注意保暖,不要被風直吹便可,因為中醫理論認為「風乃百病之長」,如果氣血虛弱的產婦著涼,會出現「月內風」症狀如頭暈、風寒、手腳冰冷等,所以預計到室內地方有冷氣就多帶件連帽外套吧。
Q:如果流產了也需要坐月嗎?
A:無論是自然還是人工流產,小產婦也宜坐小月讓身體慢慢復原,坐小月的飲食調補及生活起居注意事項基本上與坐月相若,應以平補方式調理脾胃、活血祛瘀、排清惡露,隨後配合體質,滋陰養血、強腰補腎,亦可趁坐小月期間疏導情緒,收拾心情。

Q:Can we use the air-conditioner during confinement?
A: The Hong Kong summer is warm and humid. New moms, who abide by the traditional confinement practices blindly, tend to avoid using the air-conditioner. They inevitably sweat a lot, and this causes poor hygiene. To ensure the enclosed space is comfortable and has good air ventilation, adjust the temperature of the air-conditioner to 24-26 degree Celsius. It is also important to make sure the cool air does not blow directly at the moms and the babies.
Q:Why should moms avoid touching water that is not boiled during confinement?
A: The older generation believes that once moms come into contact with unboiled water during confinement, the cold air would invade the body easily, causing them to suffer from aversion to cold and backache. It is actually fine to clean the body with warm water but make sure we wipe it dry after that.
Q:Can we take this opportunity to lose weight?
A: It is best not to lose weight after giving birth because the body needs time to recuperate. Improper diets can cause stagnation of the blood due to coldness in the body and lochia discharge to retain in the body.
Not having proper diets can also lead to attack from cold air pathogens and in turn cause new moms to catch a flu and cold or experience dizziness. You should only start your weight loss regime about six months later after delivery.
Do consume an appropriate quantity of ingredients that can strengthen the spleen, nourish the qi, and eliminate dampness from the body. You should also exercise regularly to shed some pounds in a healthier manner.
Q:Should we cover ourselves up when we decide to go out during confinement?
A: Women who are still in confinement should stay home and rest as much as possible, but if there is a need to go out, they must keep themselves warm and avoid being exposed to wind and chill.
According to Chinese Medicine theories, wind pathogen is the catalyst of many illnesses. Since moms during confinement are already have weak qi and blood, they may experience the symptoms of ‘yue nei feng’ in Mandarin (literally means ‘wind during confinement’) such as dizziness, common cold, and cold limbs. So put on a sweater or bring along an extra hoodie if the place you are travelling to is air-conditioned.
Q:Do we have to go through confinement after an abortion or miscarriage?
A: Be it abortion or miscarriage, going through confinement is necessary to help the body recuperate. Just like new moms after childbirth, it is important to eat and stay healthy.
Nourish the body to improve the functions of the spleen and stomach, invigorate the blood and clear blood stasis, and clear the lochia discharge from the body. Take this opportunity to replenish the yin and nourish the blood, strengthen lower back and nourish the kidneys, and above all, soothe your emotions accordingly.

Jut Sao can be used to deflect punches off of the center line. It is useful for mid level to head high straight punches like a boxing jab. It can also through an opponent off balance if they are tense during or after punching. A common mistake when using Jut Sau is to lift the elbow meaning the attack slides under the practitioner's defense
Trapping is not exclusive to JKD, but it certainly isn’t very common in most martial arts.
In case you aren’t familiar with what I’m talking about, trapping is the art of using your arms to nullify one of your opponent’s limbs so that he can’t use it to hit or to block. This allows you to then strike into that open line (that’s a general definition). It’s also called Hand Immobilization Attack (although you can also immobilize other parts of the body, too, using the same concept).
In short, trapping basically means “grabbing to hit”.

i've been doing loads of upper body work because i injured my lower limbs from overstretching during the singapore's strongest man ! kinda pulled me down and felt very sad about it .. oh well shit happens ! ahha so yeah i did this after 8 sets of warm ups 3-5 reps up to 140kg ! i feel very strong and working on my form , as you can see my heels are flat on the ground no more slanting ! haha thanks for watching ! xx
