親愛的家長、同學和朋友：
今天，我懷着沉重的心情，正式宣佈我離開現代教育。
離開一所效力接近20年的機構，是我人生中最沉痛的決定。畢竟在這裏，我有很多美好的回憶。我經常和家人說，我希望能在現代教育教到退休，就像傑斯在曼聯踢到掛靴。可惜，世事往往事與願違。高層的變動、人事的變化，令我和公司的理念距離愈來愈遠。我需要的是積極進取、以學生為本的辦學理念。
雖然此刻我不再是現代教育的一員，但我也必須感謝學校在過去17年來，給予我一個廣大的平台，令我的教學事業發光發亮，教出了無數精英，貢獻社會。感激前高層 Ken sir, Catherine 及 Norman 17年前對我的賞識。沒有你們，便沒有今日的 P Chan。
6月16日在太子的最後一堂，放學後數分鐘，我呆呆地看着這個上了17年課的班房，不願離開。同事問我是否要走，我點頭說是。當他們向我送上祝福時，我雙眼通紅，說不出話來。在此，我必須感謝各部門同事，在這17年來給予我各方面的協助。沒有你們的幫助，我的課堂不會進行得這麽順利。
很多同學及家長都擔心我不再教學，但正如我之前説過，我是永不言退！在過去數月，我和我的精英團隊已重新編寫我的筆記及 Mock papers ──全新的筆記、全新的內容、全新的 Mock 卷、全新的 P Chan，將會於7月中旬，在一個新的平台和大家見面。

Dear Parents, Students, & Friends,
With a heavy heart I officially announce my departure from Modern Education today.
Leaving an organisation for which I had worked for almost two decades is the toughest decision of my life. After all, I have many fond memories of my time at Modern Education. I often said to my family how I wished I could teach at Modern Education until my retirement, just as Ryan Giggs brought the curtain down on his successful football career at Manchester United. However, things don’t always go according to plan. Changes in management and personnel dragged me away from the company in terms of vision and mission. What I truly value is proactive, student-centered philosophy.
Even though I am no longer part of Modern Education, I have to express my heartfelt gratitude to the school for providing me with a platform over the past 17 years to build a glittering teaching career, nurturing many elite students to enable them to make significant contributions to society in their undoubtedly bright futures. I am grateful to former senior management colleagues Ken Sir, Catherine and Norman for recognising my true worth 17 years ago, without whom I would not be what I am today.
On the last day at Prince Edward on 16 June, I stared wordlessly at the classroom in which I had taught for 17 years, unwilling to leave. Colleagues asked if I was to go and I nodded. When they said their goodbyes and passed on their best wishes, my eyes turned red and I was lost for words. I must thank colleagues of all departments for offering me considerable assistance, without which my lessons would not have been so successful.
Many students and parents are worried that I will no longer teach. But as I said before, I will never give up! Over the past few months, my task force and I have been working on a set of COMPLETELY NEW notes and mock papers. Brand-new notes, content, mock papers and P Chan will be presented to everyone on a new platform in mid-July.
What makes life valuable is that it doesn't last forever and what makes it precious is that it ends. Stay tuned for more updates on my new destination.
