38 weeks ago, I took this bumpfie at 7.30am before my doctor’s appointment. I had a feeling that this could be my last bumpfie because I was feeling so terrible for the past few days. I couldn’t sleep nor walk properly. It was 除夕, we had so much planned out - all my LNY outfits which I had finally picked out after a long time to accommodate that big bump, visitings, feasting.. went to nil because that very day on 24th January 2020, you entered our world. You caught everyone by surprise, @aaronyanghy! But there’s no other way I would want to spend my Chinese New Year!
Today, you are 38 weeks old. It felt like eternity when you were baking in there but time flies when you are with us. It felt like only yesterday where you were first placed on my chest. Now, you are crawling (still with tum on ground) and trying to climb everywhere, bed, sofa! Time needs to stand still. Parenthood is contradicting. We are proud when our babies hit milestones, but sad that they are growing up. But one thing is for sure, parenthood is exhausting but fulfilling. We will never want to trade it for anything else.
