Saw a screen cap of a good read on IG that's worthy to share. Here is what is from @foodgazerrr 's reads and that screen makes me happy to know that someone also cares about food knowledge other than just the taste of the food.
We are very blessed to have no food shortage and nowadays people got carried away with that easily, because of social media. It's come to a point where we are only looking at what's good where and what's newly open where. Being the first to try the food and being a part of having experienced the latest food trend becomes an utmost priority so to be able to flaunt on social media. I never am ever been thrilled with such instead, I'm always keen with how food becomes what it is in current modern dates. Learning about the history and evolution of food is of a greater meaning to understand and learn about roots of humanity and culture from ancient time when food formed into becoming than just a source of fuel.
Don't get me wrong, I didn't mean seeking best and trendiest food being a wrong thing to do. I am just saying that understanding it's origin is equally as important.
Seeking where the best foods are normal and reasonable because we want only the best and what's best of the value for money that we are spending on our food. Chasing where new eatery is opening is part of evolution because we want to fill ourselves with knowledge and latest trend. But blindly doing so could neglect the importance of knowing your food origin and that's loosing heritage and culture along the way . I bet 8 out of 10 people don't care what's the history of food. (I know... Cause my posting insight would tell me a stat of the type of contents people engaged with and such philosophy doesn't appeal to 8 out of 10 people, hahaah....)
I do hope that constant reminder of such would be helpful because I really do want to have a balance of posting what's helpful and what's necessary, regardless if it is best for my social media.
