Daily reminder: keep those crowns on your heads, queens! I've seen a lot of posts lately about y'all worrying about managing interpersonal drama or worrying how you're coming off to people, especially in the midst of a pandemic.
So here's my two cents.
As an empath and someone who just generally enjoys harmony, it took many years for me to understand that you can never be EVERYONE'S cup of tea. Heck, you can try to be the nicest person in the room - and someone's still going to have something to say.
I am blessed to be surrounded by a LOT of amazing and supportive people (a practice that also requires mindfulness and conscious curation), but in life there will always be a couple of vultures circling and hoping you'll fail. It's NORMAL. Human beings are fallible. Insecurity is one of the easiest emotions to be susceptible to.
But that's them. Not you. You just keep your eye on the prize, and you hold that gorgeous head high, and you remember who's queen of the jungle. Nobody can take away your power, confidence, and self-belief without your consent. As long as you're living authentically in strength and kindness, get your mind out of the vulture-wavelength, be frank and direct if you have to (or just ignore), and move on. Lions don't quibble with vultures. 👸🏻
