【Week35 Day7- EMS mix practice week3】

這是最後一週待在這邊鄉村的獸醫院了。除了有點遺憾野生動物沒有碰到多少case外，對於大動物尤其是牛的出診感到非常值得，幾乎所有重要牛病這3週時間內都有看到。

這週小動物方面做了一隻公貓結紮，協助了一隻母狗結紮和一隻哈士奇的前十字韌帶斷裂手術，幫狗洗牙＋拋光，看了很多診，然後很重要的是完成了今年其中一個任務，就是集滿了貓狗加起來共15個晶片施打紀錄。在澳洲我們要完成指定數量的晶片植入才能獲得政府認可的證照 (沒錯 連晶片施打也要有執照的），一開始很擔心畢業前集不到15個case，幸好這週來了一胎幼犬，讓我很快就達到要求也把資料都遞交給澳洲的獸醫協會了。

野生動物部分只有遇到兩個case而且都不是happy ending，一隻非常小毛都還沒長出來的possum被送進醫院，因為太小存活率極低再加上他沒有吸允反射，最後醫師就讓我將他安樂，在安樂前握在手裡他的雙手還抓著我的手指頭，實在蠻不捨的。另外是一隻蛇被人發現在路邊淹淹一息，但送來醫院沒多久就斷氣了。

大動物部分就先從小隻的講起。這週有一隻才四天大超可愛的侏儒小山羊來就診，沒食慾大便帶血、嚴重脹氣腹痛，於是我們拍了幾張X光，X光下看到腸道內滿滿的空氣，排除異物阻塞後，醫師懷疑可能是腹膜炎引起的，於是給了一些抗生素和止痛藥觀察情況是否有好轉。另外這星期還有一隻綿羊來進行鼻子SCC(鱗狀細胞癌)的切除手術，先前獸醫已經嘗試過冷凍療法但還是復發，於是這次就安排手術大範圍摘除，並在皮下植入含化療藥物cisplatin的小珠子來殺周邊可能沒被清除的癌細胞。

至於牛的診，這週有一個rectal prolapse(直腸脫垂)，一個uterine prolapse(子宮脫垂)，直腸脫垂的那個景象還蠻震撼的，鮮紅色的直腸整個掛在外面還滴著血，由於太腫脹費了好大功夫才把直腸推回去，一開始我還很怕太粗魯會把腸道壁戳破，但醫師叫我不要太擔心要盡量aggressive才有辦法推進去。推進去後做了purse string suture把肛門口用特殊縫線縫緊以防再次脫出，但保留了一些空間讓牛隻還是能正常排便，最後也帶回了一些糞便sample要查出造成脫垂的潛在原因。而另一隻剛生完雙胞胎的乳牛好在還在早期階段，子宮還沒完全脫出，但每次母牛一用力，就看得到一部份子宮快要掉出來，於是趕快趁還沒掉出來前在陰部口也做了purse string suture以防脫出。另外還有一隻小牛胸部左側大範圍的皮膚肌肉撕裂傷加上兩根肋骨斷裂，檢查起來沒有穿刺進胸腔裡，感謝當天跟的醫師幾乎完全讓我處理這個case，在他指導下，從傷口剃毛刷洗到縫合90%都是我親手完成的。這是我第一次做牛的手術，深深體會到縫合的施力上跟貓狗的差異，再加上艱困的環境（在擠乳棚裡手術，地板上都還有一些泥巴、牛屎)，全程半蹲半跪的完成縫合，結束後已經感覺不到自己麻掉的雙腳了，傷口最後縫得很漂亮自己很滿意👏🏻。

馬這週也有幾個診，印象最深的是一隻非常嚴重的foot abscess(蹄部感染膿瘡)，是我目前看過跛腳最嚴重的case，整個腳痛到完全懸空不敢施力，獸醫一看到就跟我說prognosis很不佳。那個abscess我們用hoof knife挖到非常深膿才開始慢慢流出，將近1/3的hoof wall都因為感染跟底部組織分離了，也高度懷疑骨髓炎的可能性，我們清創引流後做了多層包紮，並給了高劑量抗生素和止痛消炎，雖然情況非常不樂觀但還是姑且一試。說到馬，我大概跟馬很不合 (也可能是我自己太柔弱XD)，每次只要幫他們把腿抬起來必會造成肌肉拉傷，以後還是盡量避免做這動作好了。

下週沒安排實習，說是放自己假其實也很多東西要弄，打算完成research project並繳交，讀書為年底一堆考試做準備，還有CV之類的也要趕快更新。

　　香港人，畢業於香港嶺南大學（社會科學學士）及香港中文大學（社會工作碩士），曾任民間團體全職總幹事，也同是時事評論人、社會運動者、註冊社工、專欄作者及電子媒體主持。 　　然而真正身份實為旅行狂熱者。2007，出發獨自到中國及南亞等地旅行，為時11個月；最後3個月，由西藏拉薩獨自騎單車經雲南到達泰國清邁。回港後成立團體「責任行者」，推廣責任旅遊（Responsible Traveling）的概念──藉由觀光旅遊發展，促進當地文化維護、環境保育、弱勢團體協助等。 　　2012年夏，應綠色和平之邀乘坐極地曙光號（Arctic Sunrise）前往北極，協助推廣「守護北極」（Save the Arctic）全球運動。 　　2012年秋，獨自出發進行為期兩年的環球旅行，並同時為香港及馬來西亞多個媒體如《經濟日報》、《明報》、《旅行家》雜誌等撰寫專欄。是次旅程於香港發生雨傘運動之際暫時完結，共計走過亞洲、歐洲、中東、中南美洲等40多個國家。 　　2014年秋，出版《旅行在希望與苦難之間》一書，將旅程中走過亞洲和中東的經歷集結成冊，以文字帶領讀者看見苦難與希望並存的世界。2015年秋出版本作《旅行是一場修行》，將歐洲和中南美洲的行跡，以及對旅行的種種體悟，盡收錄其中。 　　2015年，與友人創立網上旅遊平台「鐵鞋旅遊頻道」，並任總編輯；又成立「輕背包」，推動「背包旅行團」。同時，亦為多個媒體撰寫專欄，及於大專院校兼任講師。

I think that my knitting videos showcase many parts of my own style,
which can be difficult to understand, but I will try to make the explanation as easy as possible.

I love knitting, but I can't read knitting diagrams and of course, I can't draw them either.
Even so, I could still enjoy knitting incredibly.
I hope many people will enjoy knitting in the same way through my videoes.

I've been to a simple knitting class, but I usually go with my own flow.
I love handmade crafts, so in the past, I've been involved in Japanese-style dressmaking,
and acquired the qualification of a nationally-skilled craftsman and also have the qualification of a nailist as a hobby.

There seems to be no relation between Japanese-style dressing, nails, and knitting,
But I have gained different insights from those experiences, and I think that it leads to free knitting.

I will continue to enjoy knitting, and I hope for those who are watching would also make something incredible on their own someday.
