You may have seen COVID-19 swab tests being administered at void decks and other areas in your neighbourhood. These swab test operations are part of the government’s efforts to keep our community safe as we continue to reopen our economy and allow more activities to resume. We are offering these tests to selected groups whose work involves more frequent interaction with the public, like stall holders and food delivery riders.

I visited the COVID-19 screening centre at Blk 402 in Ang Mo Kio today, and was glad to see many coming forward to be swabbed. Beyond AMK, the testing operations will also be progressively rolled out to other parts in Singapore. This testing exercise requires the joint efforts of multiple agencies working closely together with community partners. Thank you to all the teams managing this, and keep up the good work! – LHL

Throwback to one of my trip to @berjayatiomanresort_official 2 years ago before the resort ceased operation in June due to Covid 19. As today marks the first day of Periodic Commuting Arrangement (PCA) where Singapore and Malaysia residents who hold long-term immigration passes for business and work purposes can enter the country. I hope that traveling between the 2 countries can eventually resume too. I miss my friends in Malaysia @sophialkt @shyan__c @bernadhuong
@linghuawei @zarnizar and so many others. Plus I wanna go diving again. 🐟🐠🦈🐡🐙

Today, Singapore and Malaysia formally agreed to resume the Johor Bahru - Singapore Rapid Transit System (RTS) Link Project.

The project has been suspended since last April, partly because of political transitions in Malaysia, and partly because of COVID-19. Officials on both sides put in many months of hard work into the intense negotiations, in order to complete the revised agreements. Work can now at last resume.

The RTS Link is a valuable project to both sides. It will improve connectivity and people-to-people ties between Singapore and Johor. Once operational, it will ease congestion on the Causeway. So it was apt that we marked this milestone with a bilateral ceremony at the Causeway, which has connected our two countries for almost a hundred years.

The pandemic has shown how deeply entwined our two countries are. Even in these difficult times, we continue to work together, and look forward to doing still more together. – LHL

6) You must speak English as your native language or you have native level fluency

7) You must have good communications skills

8) You must have a constant and reliable computer and internet access

9) You must be looking for a career and be part of a global organization, not just a “job”

10) You must have good time-management and self-management skills as you will be working mostly from home
