The beach is my escape. A place that sweeps away all my stresses and enables me to be present. Since covid my favourite place has been turned into a graveyard of washed up masks. In Australia you don’t see it as much and I’m so grateful for that but in my other home, Hong Kong it was becoming normal for the beach to be littered with them. It truly broke my heart. In QLD the compulsory mask law has been lifted as of last Thursday I believe but the rest of world sadly still are having to hide behind masks. It’s not fair but I believe necessary. During these times friends of mine have lost loved and if I could help one less person from getting sick then I’m happy to do my part and wear a mask.
