For @evangeline.wilder latest song “Troubling You, Troubling Me”, I have some crazy vocals popping off in the chorus that are basically inaudible 😆.
.
So why do it if you can’t hear it?

I don’t know... Because it was fun?
.
It was fun when we were recording to experiment with her vocals. I wanted to add as much of Evangeline’s spirit as I could into this song. The more I recorded, the more I could chop up her vocals and play with them later. Use her voice as an instrument. Make the song more playful that way, while tailoring the song to match her ‘Wilder’ ness.
.
And while you can’t hear all these parts in the chorus, I could feel them while I was mixing it. It just felt right.

So how do you know when the ‘feel’ is right?
