Downpour
繪本實在妙不可言，給人種種不同感受，一見鍾情、越發喜愛及越陳越香；downpour給我的感受是第一種，飄飄細雨中，小刺蝟拿著罌粟花傘，又會是什麼內容呢？翻開繪本，內容是以詩的方式呈現，而在繪圖上的色彩則以黑、灰及紅為主，這三種顏色相互襯托出整體的質感，並將紅色拱出獨特的風采，雖說是兒童繪本，說它是藝術性繪本應該更為貼切。
內容是雨水滴落在紅罌粟花上，並藉著紅色色調領著讀者來一趟雨中之旅，旅程中，我們會遇見不同的動物及穿著紅雨靴踩玩著水坑的小刺蝟、留著紅色落鰓鬍的老爺爺、飄逸著紅髮的女孩、驚遇紅鱗的大魚兒，一場雨後，空氣中瀰漫著洗刷過後的氣息，而清新純白接替代了獨特紅的罌粟花瓣，小刺蝟於是開始了刷紅罌粟花的任務。
這本繪本的閱讀年齡層設定在三至六歲，讓孩子可以藉由內容來來學習顏色及增加字彙量；色彩來刺激美學感官，雖然如此，我怎麼讀都認為這本作品隱含某些欲透露的訊息。如之前陳述過，同一本繪本，不同的讀者，都會有著不同的感受及刺激收穫。我讀過之後，第一個直覺是與In Flanders Fields(法蘭德斯的壕溝戰)有關。
