Nous souhaitons remercier le ministre de l’Europe et des Affaires étrangères de la France, Jean-Yves Le Drian, d’avoir, pour la quatrième fois cette année, fait part de son soutien à la participation de Taiwan à l’Organisation mondiale de la santé, à l’occasion de son audition le 25 novembre par la commission des Affaires étrangères de l’Assemblée nationale française. « Nous avons regretté que Taiwan n’ait pu participer aux travaux de la 73e Assemblée mondiale de la santé qui s’est tenue du 9 au 13 novembre, a-t-il déclaré. On ne peut pas avoir de vide sanitaire dans la lutte contre la pandémie, et donc il importe que Taiwan soit partie prenante de ces orientations. »

Le ministre répondait à une question du député Didier Quentin, membre à l’Assemblée nationale du Groupe d’études à vocation internationale sur les questions liées à l'expansion de l'économie taïwanaise.

We’d like to thank #France’s Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Jean-Yves Le Drian for stating his support for #Taiwan’s participation in the World Health Organization for the fourth time this year recently, during a question and answer session with the Foreign Affairs Committee of the French National Assembly: “It is unfortunate that Taiwan was unable to attend the 73rd World Health Assembly held from Nov 9-13. There can be no gap in #PublicHealth in the face of a pandemic, and Taiwan should be able to take part.”

This was in response to a question from Didier Quentin, a senior member of the France-Taiwan Parliamentary Friendship Group.
