I was on FaceTime with my sister (Mrs Mom) one night and Ali came over. He said to me very excitedly, “I’ve just published my own book today!” I didn’t expect to hear that from him, but I quickly said, “Wow, that’s good news!” Ali got even more excited and he started showing me the content of his book. He explained every part of his book, one by one. Then I asked him, “How much is your book?” He was stunned a bit, then slowly he said, “Umm, £3...” I guess he wasn’t thinking how much his book would be 😁 So I said to him, “Ah, £3! I wanna buy your book. Can you sell your book to me please?” Oh, you should have seen his face...Ali was ecstatic! He was over the moon!!

For some, this book may be meaningless, coming from a 4yr-old boy. But for me, this book means the whole world. And I’m so proud to be ALI’S FIRST CUSTOMER! I remember so well how my parents raised me. Every little idea I had when I was a child, they always listened, they appreciated, they praised, they encouraged. They always took me seriously. Not once did they ignore me. Not once did they tell me that my idea or what I did was bad or useless. Not once. There was so much love, so much support, so much encouragement...from my childhood until now. Truly, it all started at home. And now I want to give the same thing back to my nephews and nieces. Love. Appreciation. Support. Encouragement ♥️

FATIMA BINT MUHAMMAD (RA), as opposed to her sisters (Zainab, Ruqayyah & Umm Kulthum), was not married in a wealthy household & hence worked very hard with her husband (Ali (RA)) to keep the house running - with kids in the mix (they had 5 children together - 3 sons & 2 daughters - Husayn, Zaynab, Hasan, Umm Kulthum & Muhsin)

It was narrated that Ibn 'Abbas said: "When Ali, may Allah be pleased with him, married Fatimah, may Allah be pleased with her, the Messenger of Allah said to him: 'Give her something.' He said: 'I do not have anything.' He said: 'Where is your Hutami armor?'" [Nasa'i 3376] .

Narrated `Ali: Fatima complained of what she suffered from the hand mill and from grinding, when she got the news that some slave girls of the booty had been brought to Allah's Messenger (ﷺ). She went to him to ask for a maid-servant, but she could not find him, and told `Aisha of her need. When the Prophet (ﷺ) came, Aisha informed him of that. The Prophet (ﷺ) came to our house when we had gone to our beds. (On seeing the Prophet) we were going to get up, but he said, 'Keep at your places,' I felt the coolness of the Prophet's feet on my chest. Then he said, "Shall I tell you a thing which is better than what you asked me for? When you go to your beds, say: 'Allahu Akbar (i.e. Allah is Greater)' for 34 times, and 'Al hamdu Li llah (i.e. all the praises are for Allah)' for 33 times, and Subhan Allah (i.e. Glorified be Allah) for 33 times. This is better for you than what you have requested." [Sahih Bukhari 3113]

This shows that both husband & wife used to work really hard till their bodies ached. Fatima (ra) & Ali (ra) were what people would nowadays tag as - a stay at home mum & a breadwinner of the family respectively. They were not able to afford a servant. But when the economic situation of Muslims became better, Fatimah (ra) gained some maids with whom she performed the house duties.

3rd Amanie International Shariah Supervisory Board 2016

This morning we had the 3rd Amanie International Syariah Supervisory Board from 9am to 2pm at the Palace Hotel next to Burj Khalifah. We have discussed many interesting new product developments and most of them are gold-based products.

The photo below is the members of International Shariah Supervisory Board. They are Dr Usama al Deraae from Qatar, Dr Mohammad Amin al Qattan from Kuwait, Dr Ali Elgari from Saudi Arabia and myself (from right to left). This board was set up since 2011 and has been engaged in many endorsement and product development since then.

It was proposed just now during the meeting to compile and publish all the fatwas and resolutions that we have issued thus far. My team and I will study how to make it feasible and possible.

Regards from Umm al Qaiwain, 100 minutes drive from Dubai for crab hunting excurssion.
