I can't be more disappointed as a Cantonese food eater. The rolled so called Thousand layered or Mille-Feuille equivalent pork, was excellent indeed in its separate entirety, full of marbled pork taste and gimmicky. But I did had an issue with its lacklustre, single dimensional Sweet & Sour sauce which was borderline characterless, totally flat sugary
It had no Southern nor Northern Chinese vinegar aroma, nor had it a proper carry of a Fruits based sauce. It almost reminds me of the single dimensional Michelin 1 🌟 Pang's kitchen all these years. Despite the Strawberry based namesake, it was precisely that. Almost ubiquitous Strawberry jam diluted like, without paying attention to the seasonal adjustments and offerings, plus proper multiple flavors infusions. Score 6/10. Looks good enough though 😬
