從前有阿小明同小文,同一條村長大, 讀同一間學校, 大家都係由細到大家境清貧, 小明大個就做咗成功的企業家, 小文大個咗就做咗個乞兒。
嘗試了解下點解咁大嘅分別嘅。 原來兩個都係阿哥,兩個都有一個細佬, 兩個都鍾意食蘋果嘅習慣,兩個都係同阿爸相依為命。 一個細個嘅時候, 阿爸買咗兩個蘋果返屋企,一個大一個細,就問阿哥小文:
「 你想食邊個蘋果呀?」
小文回答:「我想食大嗰個。」
阿爸就話:「你點可以咁貪心㗎。梗係想食細嗰個,留返大嗰個畀細佬啦! 」
咁就罰咗小文食細蘋果。之後,每次阿爸買蘋果返屋企,阿爸再問小文嘅時候,
小文就話
「我想食細嗰個。留返大嗰個俾細佬。」
阿爸就讚佢:
「乖啦! 獎佢食大嗰個!」
從此小文學懂咗講大話嘅習慣,大個咗, 偷呃拐騙樣樣學齊,最終失去曬公司,合作伙伴,朋友嘅信任, 生意失敗瞓喺條街度變成一個乞兒。
阿小明呢?
小明細個嘅時候,阿爸一樣買咗兩個蘋果返屋企。一大一細。
阿爸問佢,「你想食邊個呀? 」
小明回答:「我想食大嗰個!」
阿爸回答:「 你可以食大嗰個,但你先要做晒功課,幫埋細佬溫習, 做埋家務先至可以食!」
做完曬嘢, 終於有得食喇。小明咬落大蘋果嗰刻, 的確感覺份外鮮甜。
小明從此就習慣咗「凡事要努力付出,才能享受成果。 」 大個咗佢就努力工作,去爭取佢所要嘅目標, 亦都把公司員工嘅獎罰制度定得非常鮮明, 上下員工目標一致嘅努力下,小明好快就成為咗個大企業家。

一個人嘅成敗,由細到大形成嘅習慣 (habits) 好重要。 根據美國著名會計師 Thomas Cortey, 佢用咗5年時間研究咗361個self-made (即係白手興家)嘅有錢人同埋窮人,有錢人嘅定義就係每年收入多過十六萬美金及淨流動資產多過320萬美金, 窮人定義就係每年收入少於三萬五千蚊美金及少過5000蚊美金流動資產。係2010 佢出咗本書叫做 Rich Habits: The Daily Success Habits of Wealthy Individuals. (有錢人每天成功嘅習慣)。
書入面研究指出:
. 67%嘅有錢人會寫低佢哋嘅目標 goals, 窮人? 只有17%。
. 80%嘅有錢人會專注達到佢哋某個嘅目標,窮人? 只有12%。
. 81%嘅有錢人會有個每日 to-do list, 每日都完成起碼7成嘅工作。窮人? 只得19%有呢個 list。
仲有?
. 44% 嘅有錢人都係好早起身。佢哋通常喺朝九至晚五嘅工作之前三個鐘頭就起身,包括做運動,準備好一天嘅工作。
. 佢哋基本上唔買lottery 彩票,即係香港嘅六合彩,94%嘅有錢人都唔賭錢,靠自己。窮人? 係美國 77%都買 lottery.
. 72%嘅有錢人會每月義務工作起碼五小時。窮人? 只得12%。
