在經過多次預覽版後，微軟昨（26）日向所有Windows 10 1903版本以上的PC用戶釋出今
年第二度重大更新，Windows 10 20H2。2004版Windows PC只要一次重開機即完成更新。
正式名稱為Windows October 2020 Update的20H2為Windows 一年兩度重大更新之一。微
軟於10月20日釋出正式版本，不過僅提供給1903版本以上的用戶手動經由Windows
Update 安裝。
微軟表示未來幾周將緩慢開放下載20H2以確保穩定下載，這表示使用者可能現在尚未能接
獲更新。已經符合更新條件者，會在「設定」下的Windows Update看到提醒。
如果你用的是最新的2004版本，升級過程會很順暢。一如19H2的設計，微軟指出，
Windows 20H2/October 2020 Update和2004版有共通的作業系統核心，及相同的系統檔案
，因此20H2已包含在2004版最近一個月份的品質更新，只是當時未啟動，直到用戶安裝了
啟動套件（enablement package）才會啟動20H2的新功能。在這個過程中，直接由
Windows Update下載更新的2004版裝置會自動下載啟動套件，只要一次重開機即可完成
20H2的更新，減少更新造成的停機。
但如果你的電腦跑的是1909版本以前，包括1903版本Windows，則就不是下載啟動套件那
麼簡單。對這些電腦來說，啟動套件是包含在20H2功能更新中，使用者就必須歷經完整的
更新過程。
和2004版相比，20H2是較小更新，最主要功能包括內建了Microsoft Chromium Edge瀏覽
器、Skype Meet Now視訊軟體，此外，傳統上集中在「控制台」下「系統」的電腦資訊，
都會搬到「設定」>「系統」>「關於」頁下。
此外，為防每次更新都會發生驅動程式引發藍色死亡螢幕、或是硬體功能失常等狀況，除
了放緩部署速度外，微軟也強化不相容、過期驅動程式的檢查。10月中對Windows 10
2004及Server 2004釋出的KB4579311 (OS Build 19041.572)版本，開始強化裝置第三方
驅動程式的驗證。沒有獲得驗證者，其驅動程式就會遭到Windows 10封鎖，而出現錯誤訊
息。
可能因上述機制的關係，Bleeping Computer報導，至少到現在為止已經傳出安裝
Conexant 及Synaptics或 Conexant ISST驅動程式的裝置安裝202H後，出現錯誤訊息及
BSOD的情形。
對教育及企業用戶而言，升級到20H2，企業版及教育版Windows 10將獲得30個月的技術支
