โรงเรียนนานาชาติคิงส์คอลเลจกรุงเทพ ก่อตั้งขึ้นโดยได้รับความร่วมมือจากโรงเรียนคิงส์คอลเลจวิมเบิลดัน ประเทศอังกฤษ (King’s College School, Wimbledon) หนึ่งในโรงเรียนที่ประสบความสำเร็จด้านการศึกษาสูงสุดในโลก

มาตรวัดนึงที่พิสูจน์ความสำเร็จนี้ คือ จำนวนนักเรียนมากกว่า 90% ที่สามารถสอบเข้ามหาวิทยาลัยที่ตนเองเลือกเป็นอันดับแรกทั้งในประเทศอังกฤษ และประเทศสหรัฐอเมริกา มหาวิทยาลัยฮาร์วาร์ด มหาวิทยาลัยพรินซ์ตัน มหาวิทยาลัยสแตนฟอร์ด และมหาวิทยาลัยเยล ได้สำเร็จ

โดยโรงเรียนนานาชาติคิงส์คอลเลจกรุงเทพ เป็นโรงเรียนแห่งที่ 3 ในโลกและแห่งแรกในเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้

เน้นแนวคำตอบ Lead ไปตอนตอบบอร์ดบริหารว่า ต้องการ อาจารย์ที่เป็นมากกว่าครู

การศึกษาที่ดีที่สุดในโลกปัจจุบันที่ความรู้หาได้ทุกที่ทุกเวลา ดังนั้นสิ่งที่ผู้ปกครองต้องการจากโรงเรียนในยุคนี้ไม่ใช่แค่เรื่องวิชาการ คือการเตรียมความพร้อมให้นักเรียน สามารถเป็นคนที่มีคุณค่าของโลกในอนาคต ดังนี้โจทย์ใหญ่ของ KCS คือทำอย่างไร ให้นักเรียน มีทั้งความประพฤติและมารยาทที่นอบน้อม (Good Manners) จิตใจที่เปี่ยมด้วยความเมตตา (Kindness) และจิตวิญญาณแห่งการใฝ่รู้สู่ปัญญา (Wisdom) ภายใต้ Motto หัวใจที่ยิ่งใหญ่ จะสามารถพาให้เด็กๆ เติบโตไปได้ไกลกว่า และครูคือกุญแจสำคัญในการร่วมสร้างคุณค่าเหล่านี้ ให้กับนักเรียน

โดยใช้หลักสูตรที่เน้น 3 แกน Academic Excellence – ด้วย Curriculum หรือหลักสูตรการเรียนการสอนที่แข็งแกร่ง ที่จะทำให้พวกเขามีมันสมองที่เก่งขึ้นในระดับสู้กับคนอื่นได้ / Co-Curricular Program หลักสูตรร่วมผสม ประกอบด้วย Club, Society และกิจกรรมต่างๆ / Pastoral Care – คือการดูแลอย่างใส่ใจ กุญแจสำคัญของแกนนี้อยู่ที่ความใส่ใจในตัวเด็ก ซึ่งทำคู่กันไปทั้ง 2 ทางคือ Tutor System และ House System
