我們經常對動物有一個很大的誤會，牠們有時臉上沒有表情（特別是海洋動物），我們就以為牠們沒有感覺，不會感到痛，於是很理直氣壯地對牠們做些非常殘忍的事情。
不是說人類是所謂的「高等動物」嗎？那為什麼我們看事情卻看得如此表面呢？
We often have a lot of misunderstandings about animals. Sometimes they have no expression on their faces (especially marine animals). We think that they have no feelings, they don't feel pain, so we can do everything cruel to them.
We always think humans are so called "Higher Animals", isn't it? Then why do we see things so superficial?
TVB最近推出全新一輯「美女廚房」，換了主持人，內容卻沒有改變，依舊是邀請一眾不懂煮食的女藝人烹調高難度料理，當中更有環節要求藝人親自活捉和宰殺活生生的動物食材，當中以海鮮為主。節目畫面離不開藝人雞手鴨腳處理動物食材、主持嘉賓的取笑和諷刺，以引觀眾發笑。
魚類和甲殼類不會發聲，即使被人抓痛了，或是掉在地上，或是活生生的扔進鍋裡活烤，觀眾都感受不到牠們的痛楚。牠們的沉默，令觀眾以為牠們不會痛；牠們的沉默，令牠們成為一場鬧劇裡的犧牲品。如果被煮的不是魚類和甲殼類，而是一隻豬、一隻雞、一頭牛，觀眾還笑得出來嗎？胡鬧過後，那盤做好的菜最後因烹調不善而被送進垃圾筒裡，動物的痛苦和犧牲也是白費的。
當世界各地還有人死於饑餓，香港有電視節目為提高收視殘害動物、浪費食物。無論是不是素食者，以這種殘酷手法對待動物、譁眾取寵的節目都絕對不能接受。請大家填妥通訊事務管理局的網上投訴表格(https://goo.gl/0TjM8)，並將以下內容複製到「投訴事項」一欄，要求當局正視這種不良廣播手法，並就此對電視台作出適當懲處。
「無線電視「美女廚房」節目要求參與藝人烹調菜式，包括親自活捉和宰殺活生生的動物食材，當中不少藝人都欠缺煮食經驗，在處理動物食材時未能按正常程序處理，包括將未宰殺的動物活生生的扔進鍋裡活烤，增加動物不必要的痛苦，虐待動物的畫面引起觀眾不安。另外，大部分煮好的菜式亦因未經正確烹調而被直接扔進垃圾筒，浪費食物，對兒童及青少年造成不良影響。現要求貴局嚴正審視有關節目內容，並要求無線電視立即中止該節目，以釋除公眾不安。」

In the new series of “Cooking Beauties” of TVB, the hosts are new while the content remains unchanged. Same as the previous series, female artists are invited to make challenging dishes, including catching and killing live animals, with most of them are sea animals. To make the audience laugh, most of the shots focus on how clumsily the artists prepare their dishes and how the hosts make fun of the artists.
When fish and crustacean are thrown on the floor or a heating saucepan alive, as they cannot make any sound, the audience would not realise their pain. Because of their silence, the audience ignore their suffering. Their silence also results in their sacrifice in a farce. If the animals are replaced by a pig, a chicken or a cow, will the audience still find this interesting? After all the mess, the dishes are thrown into the rubbish bin directly due to the terrible taste resulted from improper cooking while the pain and sacrifice of animals are never mentioned.
When there are still people die in hunger, in Hong Kong, a television programme promotes food wastage to raise its rating. Be it vegan or meat-eater, it would not be acceptable to have a programme featured with animal cruelty. To stop further cruelty, please fill in the complaint form of the Communications Authority (https://goo.gl/B7BDys) by pasting the content below in “Details of Complaint” to urge them for a review on the programme and take suitable disciplinary action against the broadcasting station concerned.
“‘Cooking Beauties' of TVB requires artists to prepare dishes, including catching and killing of live animals. As most of the artists are not experienced, animals are not handled properly, including throwing live animals into heating saucepans, which causes unnecessary pain to animals. The audience find such scenes featuring animal cruelty disturbing and irritating. Separately, as most of the dishes are thrown into the rubbish bin directly due to the bad taste resulted from improper cooking, food wastage is resulted and this also has negative impact to children and teenagers. The Communications Authority should look into the content of this programme seriously and request TVB to cease broadcasting of the programme to avoid further disturbance to the public.”
