COVID 19 🦠 - Sarawak United War Time!
Sarawak doesn’t have the manufacturing capacity like China or USA. But Sarawakian has the spirit of solidarity to fight COVID 19!
In order to support SGH and UNIMAS to have the capacity to do 2,000 PCR (virus) testing for COVID 19 everyday, (though everyday, we only had ~ 200 patients being tested but in order to for any Sarawakian who fulfil the medical criteria need to be tested shall not deprived of the test), we pull in the existing medical equipment from Sarawak Forestry Corporation, Sarawak Biodiversity Centre, Clinical Research Centre (CRC), other universities to make it happens!

With donation (anonymous) and CRC’s, 2 rtPCR machine @ Sibu Hospital and soon Miri Hospital, we will be able to do PCR COVID 19 (virus testing) beyong Kuching but also in Sibu & Miri.
No longer selfish about who owns the machines, who’s jurisdiction (private vs federal gov vs state gov but all for Sarawak and Sarawakian). Sarawakian for Sarawak @ war with COVID 19.
Surprise, surprise, surprise. Even the US FDA grants “emergency use” coronavirus test that can deliver results in 45 minutes, the GeneXpert PCR “point of care” COVID 19 test, we in Sarawak, despite in #Jungle of #Borneo has 5 units (participating international research @ CRC SGH, Sibu, Bintulu & Miri)! Soon in Sarawak, we also can do PCR test with results in 45 minutes.
Is war time, we may not have the manufacturing capacity but we have the spirit of Sarawakian coming together with solidarity (no more selfish or self interest), ingenuity and fighting spirit - war with COVID 19!
