people often ask me how i find motivation everyday
the truth is, I don’t feel motivated 90% of the time. instead of motivation, i believe in self-discipline. self-discipline is fighting your weaknesses to push all those excuses out of your head, get up, do what needs to be done even when you feel the least motivated. and repeat it every, single, day.
if i only do what feels easy and comfortable, i will just lie in bed most days eating hamburgers and pastas, binge-watching tv, and never knowing my true potential in life (probably not a very long life with terrible physical and mental health).
every single habit in life is your choice. a lot of times you have to make a hard choice to push through struggles and discomfort - something as little as getting up early, exercising when you don’t feel like it, studying and getting to work when you just want to procrastinate. let these first wins give you the power to keep going and keep winning for the rest of the day

Two Christmases ago, my only wish was to get pregnant in 2018. In the next month I found out that I was diagnosed with PCOS and my gynae told us that it was going to take us a while to actually be pregnant. She told me I needed to lessen my stress level, to lose weight though my weight was optimal, change my diet, start exercising more, take health supplements and start charting my ovulation monthly by testing with ovulation kits. It came as a shock cos I was already a mom of one, so how could I develop PCOS out of a sudden? Lots of questions but I was determined to work on my condition and had faith that we would be pregnant sooner than what my gynae said. Each month were met with disappointment and tears, balancing between hoping but not expecting too much, working on it but not stressing myself out too much. It was a constant juggle and I was getting weary to say the least. But God never failed to send people along my way to shed some hope and light on our journey. On the month I decided that it was enough of trying so hard and you know what, let’s just take it easy and trust that God had His timing...it happened. A day after my birthday, God gave me the best birthday gift of 2 lines- a positive pregnancy test. Fast forward a year later, we are a family of 4, with a bubbly little Lulu giving us so much joy everyday.

This Christmas may not be a very happy one for some of you because you still have dreams, hopes and prayers unanswered, and that’s okay. I’m believing with you that your breakthrough will come. The secret ingredient? Trust in Him. Trust that His ways are higher than ours. Trust that His timing is the BEST timing. We can’t see it yet, but we will understand why in the future. Hold on, keep going, and you will see the promised land that you have been waiting for. I’m with you. Don’t give up. Keep trusting. You can do it.

I've been enjoying too much of good food without considering what's in my food since I left high school. Carbs, sugar, snacks.. I eat literally everything depending on my desire and mood! In fact, junk food and chicken wings have always been my favorite! Although I am not the skinny with a perfect figure kinda girl, I was quite satisfied with my average body figure..(only in my own preference). Today, I reminded myself that I can no longer do that so frequently anymore because I am getting older each day(Oh, finally I'm turning 21 this year- yup I'm officially legal) and my metabolism rate will decrease and become lower as time goes by.
Therefore, I've made up my mind to create my own little list of this year's resolutions.. and one of my resolutions will be practicing a balanced lifestyle and healthy eating habits(reminding all of you to do the same too! ). Consuming more fruits and vegetables and exercise more. Sad to say, I don't even remember when was my last time exercising(a couple of months ago?). Ballet dance used to be part of my life and school sports used to be my thing(yeah, I run a lot even though I was asthmatic in the olden days when i was still a kid).
Life can change so much over the years and the things that I adore, admire, prioritize, possess are no longer the same(maybe this is just a sign that I'm becoming an adult soon. Lol kidding).
In the year of 2013..
That's probably the peak year for me and most of the interesting things happened in my life. Without realizing, how much time and effort that I've spent worrying and focusing over few same things (my job, uni grades, and probably to impress). My life was expectable and quite mundane actually. I was afraid to gamble and risk to try new things. Always in my comfort zone and don't really express much to the public. Of course, spending most of my time working is not a bad thing but I've worked too much without realizing how anti-social I've become. On the other hand, 2013 was a year to celebrate for me. In the last quarter of year 2013, I bought my first car all by myself. I think it's something proud to share it with you guys because without you all, my life can never be so perfect. Things always happen for a reason. Neither its something good or bad, I am really grateful to have you all in my life.
Time goes by so quickly and it's 2014 now!
In the year of 2014, I hope my life will be an adventure for me, learning new things everyday, and hopefully to maintain a healthy lifestyle! I shall keep the rest to myself and pray that everything goes smoothly. Let God decide the path for me Good day all! I'm still a little jet lagged now. Writing this is the morning just because I've realized so many things and my life is so much more than that.

Hey guys! So a lot of you guys have been asking me how I track macros and what I normally eat when I workout. Here's a video including both of that. I started tracking macros earlier this year and got more relaxed a few months ago. I started tracking again last month since I am trying to gain some lean muscles and I've talked about this briefly one of my previous videos. I am not super strict with my macros. I don't track little things like two strawberries, or a cup of almond milk. It is so minor that I don't get worried about it. Also there are days that I don't track fully because sometimes we slack haha. So don't freak out about not tracking 100% of the time. We eat out, we have a life. It's all about balance and what makes you happy. Again it is really fast to track especially if they are the things that you eat regularly. You can just add it to your favourites. Right now I try to eat at least around 200g carbs a day when i'm exercising and my calories intake per day is around 1800. It can be extremely challenging to keep track when I'm travelling so I bring some energy bars with me wherever I go. Just in case I can't find food!
Also I don't cook fancy meals everyday. Today is one of those days that I don't have time to prepare my meals because I have quite a bit of work to do before my Japan trip so I was mostly on my computer all day working. Sometimes I prep my meals for a few days so that it is more time efficient. One more thing! This is how I eat on that particular day. I am just giving you an idea of what I eat one that one day. You can always change it up, make it more delicious or eat out. haha. :)
Hope you enjoyed this video! Also in regards to losing weight, i've talked about being on calories deficit and tracking macros to lose weight in one of my older videos. I got a lot of comments that is unhealthy to count calories. The truth is if you are losing weight you ARE on calories deficit (whether you count your calories or track your macros or not). The reasons why some of us count calories and track macros is because we want to minimise muscle loss, especially in the fitness industry. We want to keep as much muscles as we can while cutting. Also being too low in deficit will probably cause more muscle loss than intended so keeping track of calories and macros helps with that. Hope all that makes sense. :)

The curry chicken recipe:
1 onion
2 tsp of garlic
A couple of tablespoons of Mild Curry Powder (3-5)
1kg of chicken breast
100g Coconut milk
1 can of diced tomato or 400g of tomatoes
I stir fry the onion first, add garlic, then add the mild curry spices. You can add more spices later if it's not spicy enough.
After that I add the chicken breast and cook it until it turn white. Add a can of tomatoes and let it cook for 20 minutes or so, or until the sauce thicken. Then I add 100g of coconut milk. Then let it simmer for 10 mins or so. That's it! Super simple!
