This lil’ girl came home from school today with a big, proud, sweet smile on her face! I knew straight away that she came bearing good news. Before she could even begin to share her news, her excited little brother Ali jumped in and shouted, "Fatimah’s got loads of stickers and Dojo points for her poem!" We all burst into laughter at seeing how much he couldn’t contain his excitement and happiness for his sister - bless him!

So yes, Fatimah’s poem #IFIWEREAFIREWORK was a big hit in her school today. Her teacher was so impressed by her work. And guess how she rewarded Fatimah? Her teacher sent Fatimah to other classes to share her poem with them! Everyone including the other class teachers applauded Fatimah for her brilliant writing. They were amazed by her ideas. And not only that, she also got the honour of being the tiny teacher of the day and helping her friends in writing their poems.

So that is how Fatimah was rewarded by her teacher for all her hard work - by honouring her and giving her the chance to help her friends do the same. Fatimah says that she had the best day ever, and what happened today has motivated her to keep on trying her best because she feels great, not only because of her achievement, but because she could help her friends to reach for the stars together - bless her!

If I were a firework...
I would shine like glitter and gold,

I would FIZZ glittering rain,
Like a Pepsi bottle that has been shaken,
