Jom pergi Jepun! Well not quite a Japanese food but can do as it is UDON that we are cooking tonight. I love the black pepper Udon. This is the simple version. Let's get started!
Ingredients 4 to 5 pax:
- 1 pack of ready made udon noodles
- 200g chicken strips/slices
- 1 medium carrot, shredded
- 1 whole garlic, chopped
- 3 cups shredded cabbage
- 2 whole onions, sliced
- 20 to 25 pcs of black peppercorns (roughly pounded) or 2 tbsp black pepper powder for a children version (normally I will go with double the amount). Peppercorn has more flavours.
- 2 tbsp oyster sauce
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp dark soy sauce
- Oil
