Killer cravings for Hor Mok. A type of blended fish mousse which is combined with red curry and steamed in banana leaves. It's pure heaven and every region, household, grandma or market or street vendor will do it differently! There's so much to play with in terms of fish and seafood ingredients, textures, flavours and spices. We're on a search for local Bangkok favourites. Let us know where are the "best" hor moks! This one is from @phukettownfood. Portions are small, mouthfeel is is wonderfully airy and the spices are delicate with a touch of coconut creaminess, we could absolutely have 5 of these!

Still one of our favourite Southern Thai go-to places. It's just always good, and is not trying to be pretentious, hipster nor grungy or showing off their authenticity, @phukettownfood in Thonglor is a solid food joint that should keep both Thai and foreigners happy, also the young and old. Clean, tasty and super affordable. We always go for the Massamam Curry, the Phat Gapi Sator Gung (stink bean with Prawns), the Moo Hong (Pork belly curry), the (Giant) Phuket fishballs and the stir fried Okra. It's been a lot less rowdy since they moved deep into Thonglor Soi 4 but actually it makes it more intimate and charming. I just hope they do something about their glaring light bulbs which dampers the joyful experience somewhat.
