PS主機新專利　觀眾可進入VR世界獻策

PS新專利將允許觀眾直接參與VR玩家的行動決策。United States Patent and Trademark Office

索尼互動娛樂(Sony Interactive Entertainment)遊戲主機PlayStation通過一項最新專利，當玩家進行虛擬實境(VR)遊戲時，VR場景外的觀眾可根據自身裝置的互動內容，做出影響玩家決策的行動。

據VRScout報導，新專利先前於2020年10月提交給美國專利及商標局(USPTO)，於2021年1月公開。

新的觀眾模式(Spectator Mode)讓遊戲外的人即使不具備VR頭戴式裝置(HMD)，也能和遊戲世界進行即時互動，進而在遊戲體驗中發揮積極作用。

報導認為，這項技術很接近PlayStation 4的多人遊戲服務PlayLink，該服務讓玩家可以用相容的智慧型手機或平板電腦進行各種沉浸式體驗。

專利文件指出，該技術將觀眾參與的內容整合到HMD用戶正在體驗的VR場景，並從應對的一或多部觀眾裝置接收指令，藉此獲得「在場」觀眾的意見。

然而，公開專利並不表示該功能可以順利問世，VR技術和遊戲社交性的結合效果如何，仍是值得觀察的議題。
