本校工學院陳文章院長於今(108)年5月29日至31日，在日本大阪市所舉行之日本高分子學會( The Society of Polymer Science, Japan; SPSJ)年會獲頒國際獎 ( SPSJ International Award)。
日本高分子學會為1951年成立，擁有會員數10,000人以上，學會於1994年設立國際獎，主要是頒贈給對高分子科學有卓越貢獻之國際學者表彰，每年獲獎者最多以三位為原則，為學會對國外學者所頒贈之最高榮譽。
學會對陳院長得獎之貢獻為”Contributions to the Development of the Organic Polymers and Nanostructured Materials for Electronic and Optoelectronic Applications” ，並邀請於5月29日下午針對得獎內容進行專題演講，及5月30日進行頒獎典禮。
陳院長長期致力於電子與光電高分子、嵌狀共聚奈米高分子及高分子奈米複合光電材料之設計、合成、型態控制及元件應用，學術生涯至今共發表365篇期刊論文、獲得55項發明專利、及論文引用數h-index為60，其中並有17篇被選為封面或封底故事，包括Adv. Mater.、Adv. Eng. Mater.、Adv. Funct. Mater.、Small 和J. Mater. Chem. A等傑出期刊。
研究成果亦獲下列學術榮譽，包括台法科技獎 (2018)、教育部學術獎 (2016)、有庠科技講座(2015)、英國皇家化學會會士(2014) 、侯金堆傑出榮譽獎(材料科學類) (2013)、東元獎(2013)及三次國科會傑出研究獎(2004、2009、2012)等，且獲邀擔任Plenary Speaker/invited speakers共62次。
陳院長除從事前瞻學術研究外，並將所開發17項技術移轉化學材料產業開發高附加價值材料技術。
