As many of you have seen in my stories, bunion pain has really
started to affect my active lifestyle. I have tried using a bunion splint when I sleep at night before, but it really hurts. Long story short, I decided to see go a podiatrist at @eastcoastpodiary.sg to find a solution. My podiatrist @afnanmask did a pretty thorough examination
of my feet before prescribing to me a number of Focal Shockwave sessions
that I have to attend over the next few months. I was a little nervous at first as I wasn't sure if it was going to be painful. Afnan was really sweet and gentle. She made sure the initial few shocks
administered were low in intensity so I did not feel any pain at all!
The treatment has definitely helped with the tightness that I feel in my feet related to my bunion. The flexibility of the toe joint has massively improved, I no longer feel pain after runs or even after having my feet ‘stuffed’ into my climbing shoes which are very tight.
