Yesterday Morning, first road race of year 2020. Took part in @selangormarathon for the 10km Men Open category.
Before the race, I have set myself a goal to clock a sub 34 min.
Took an 🍊 and some other fruits as well plus took @beetitsportmy double shots in the morning 2 hours before the event. Took @actiginofficial as well to ensure my glycogen replenish in a much faster way. Woke up pretty early to also have a small meal (cereals + soy milk).
What so special about the race yesterday is that I ran without a GPS watch. I ran based on my feeling. I am glad to be in the zone for quite a long time, like turning on the autopilot mode, crusing at about 90-95% effort. Cruise until the last 3k, autopilot mode switch off and I told myself time to accelerate and pick up the pace.
Photo captured by @smartpix.my showed me at the last stretch of the race. Doing my best to dig deep and close the gap down between me and Siva.
I am glad to run a sub 34 - 10km race without much key running workouts as my current training program are mostly focus in Towerrunning Sport.
I am looking forward on a 10k run next month in London and aiming for a good time. A sub 33 - 10k will be my goal. Current 10k PR at 2017 Taipei Sundown - 33:20 minutes. A night run and cold weather (10 - 12 deg), at the park.
And I am happy to be back on road race sometimes to meet so many runners here and gave you all the support at the finishing line. Thanks for the cheer throughout the race!

簡介
我是一位代表香港出賽的花式滾軸溜冰運動員。由6歲開始學習滾軸溜冰。自2012年起，教練決定不再教高程度選手後，我在香港找不到其他教練，從此在港一直處於無教練狀態。中間也曾到海外跟隨不同的教練訓練。
今年初疫情開始，封場下無法訓練及教班，當時我靠賣布口罩維生。現在布口罩已停產，光榮結業，並再次全面投入訓練。
花式滾軸溜冰在香港是一項瀕臨絕種的滾軸項目。為了讓它的火不滅，我正努力用我微小的力量將它推廣。希望讓更多人可以認識、並接觸這一項充滿自我挑戰，包含柔軟度、力量、美感、音樂，除了是體育亦同樣是藝術的運動！
Some background of me
I’m the only skater who trained alone and who is still representing Hong Kong in artistic roller skating.
I started skating since I was 6 and I’m now 31.
I had a coach since I was 6 and he decided not to coach high level skaters anymore in 2012. Then I started to train myself. And I had overseas training during this period of time, tried to learn from different coaches around the world.
Earlier this year when the pandemic started, I can’t train and give lessons to my skaters as the rink is closed. At that time, I sell fabric mask to make a living. But now I’m back on track to have training!
Artistic roller skating is a dying sports in Hong Kong. To save it, I tried my best using my little power to promote it! I really hope there will be more people knowing, and trying this challenging, needs flexibility, strength, beauty, grace, musical sport. It’s not only a sport, it’s also art!
