Hello all! I'm excited to show you my new piece, "Aurora", exhibiting right now at H Queens, Hong Kong, until 23rd December.

I visited Alaska last year and was lucky to spot faint, dancing green lights in the night sky. I suddenly felt tiny and in awe of the universe. This installation, “Aurora”, captures a bit of that magic. I make art with everyday objects and for this project, I discovered mobile phone glassbacks. These glass backs and their everchanging colors were the source of inspiration of this installation. I also want to express how we are living in the digital era now: reflections of visitors appear as they look into the glassbacks. On the other side of the glass, I have used polished stainless steel to highlight visitors’ reflections: visitors become the model, the director and publisher of the clearly reflected image. Visitors are in their own universe now.

昨晚開始，以色列慶祝為期八天的燈節（Hanukkah）。這個節日並不是希伯來聖經中的節日，但因為當時已經是猶太人習慣慶祝的節日，所以雖然當時沒有寫入聖經，人們還是繼續慶祝

這個節日

一，因為一小匙燈油可以持續點八天的奇蹟，所以要吃油炸的東西，最有名的是甜甜圈。這八天裡，不管是校園還是街上，都會有組織或個人在發送免費的甜甜圈

二，這是個玩陀螺的節日，陀螺有四面，每面有一個希伯來文字母，代表了「大奇蹟曾在這裡發生過」

三，這是個點燈的節日，這個節日的燈台有自己的名字，叫做Hanukkiah ，連「母燭」一共是九個燭座。第二聖殿裡的燭座只有七個

四，這是個教小孩數學的節日。可憐的猶太小孩從很小就會被家長或其他大人問道: 哈努卡節第一天點一根蠟燭（但有母燭，所以要有兩根）。第二天點兩根蠟燭（加母燭是三根），第三天點三根~~~一直到第八天，如果你是賣哈努卡蠟燭的商人，一盒包裝裡要有幾根蠟燭才夠這個節日使用
