作品作りについて。どんな作品も最初は構想に大体１年、コンセプトを作り、こんな簡単なラフスケッチや絵コンテから始まります。
女の子が突如目覚め、自らが女性であることを意識しはじめること、そしてそれが集団化する様子を寄り集まったミュータントで表現した作品「mutant」は表参道ヒルズを個展でジャックした時のビジュアル。今年は日本で個展があり、最新作を去年から準備中。
ただ写真ではないので時間がかかるのです。

Young women, naked, are piled on top of one another. Around them, shoots emerge, leaves unfurl, and flowers bloom profusely. The women’s bodies appear to have become one with nature.
Their black wigs and bright red lipstick convey the stereotyped way that a woman is viewed, here deliberately conjured up by each of the participants. As she grows, a girl suddenly becomes aware of fashion and begins to think of herself as a woman.That process is expressed by this strange ensemble of such mutants (the results of permanent, unprogrammed change) huddled together to represent the way that the process becomes a group activity.
