【評議會新聞】建築文物保護學會被取消屬會資格

二零二一年度香港大學學生會第三次評議會常務會議於今日（17日）召開，建築學會代表黃文栩提出取消建築文物保護學會屬會資格議案，並交待其背景。黃指建築文物保護學會由文學士（建築文物保護）學生組成，但因港大於本年一月一日取消建築文物保護課程學部，故文學士（建築文物保護）與理學士（測量系）合併，而理學碩士(建築文物保護)亦被轉移至園境建築學部 [1]，建築文物保護學會會員人數亦變為零，因此黃提出該議案。

文學院學生會代表容頌禧指出取消建築文物保護學會屬會資格並非因為違反憲章，而是因為建築文物保護課程學部被取消。經過修憲委員會會議討論後，建築學會評議會將會召開一個專責委員會負責處理文物保護學會的剩餘物資，剩餘物資將用於仍然就讀建築文物保護課程的學生。

黃補充指由於建築文物保護學會被取消屬會資格後，屬會剩餘資金將撥入建築學會評議會，因此黃曾與建築文物保護學會現屆和來年幹事討論成立建築文物保護資助委員會，以令建築文物保護學會可於有需要時動用剩餘資金舉辦活動。

經過一輪諮詢後, 議案以27票贊成、0票反對、2票棄權獲得通過，建築學會建築文物保護學會被取消屬會資格。黃建議三聯會以及不同學會應留意屬會的情況，以避免日後再次因學院無理的舉動令事件再次發生。
