HKD $85 Dan Dan Noodles 麻辣擔擔麵, Hong Kong-Sichuan style soupy recipe 😍😋. Surprisingly inside【Bayfare Social, Rosewood Hotel, Hong Kong】, they serve one of the best Dan Dan Noodles in Hong Kong. It has both a Spicy & Mala Tingling Sichuan Peppercorn sensation, accentuated with Minced Pork & Beef, Chili 🌶 & Scallion.

It also carries the proper 'Sesame 芝麻醬' based viscous sauce, but crushed Peanuts on top. Many modern versions only have the peanuts part of equation.. Coz PB 花生醬 is a lot cheaper & easier to dilute, I hate those shops with a vengeance.. 😢

The 1.0 menu in Bayfare also had 生煎包, the 3.0 revised menu now carries a 'Biang Biang' noodles 油撥面 instead but I never managed to order it as it was sold out. However, the Flat Iron Steak Frites $240 also made a come back in the 3rd menu, for a brief period they took the Steak & Burger off the dinner menu due to Henry being next door.. 🤔

Also good to order some #Crodino, #Chinotto or #Cedrata drinks here. Much harder to find in HK context 🥤

⭐️Mussels Asiano - the spicy, punchy and tangy broth transports me to Thailand immediately, so good with fries + curry aoili. Definitely an interesting twist to the usual moules-frites!
⭐️MB6 Wagyu Tomahawak - there was a gasp from the table when the Wagyu tomahawk steak arrived. It was truly amazing, delicious, and juicy to the very last slice.
⭐️ Ayam Masak Merah and 8 Hour Braised Beef Short Rib Rendang - I’ve always enjoyed classic Malaysian dishes at Curate and they have done the ayam masak merah and beef rendang so much justice.

For many years now Steak Frites @ 23 has been the place to known for serving the best steak in town. Nestled in a traditional house right next to a boutique hotel along Love Lane, this steak house has some serious meat on the menu and it is the only thing that they can offer... but they focus in doing what they can offer the best. The one-dish menu has been doing them great though... many steak lovers flock to this place just to savor a hefty piece of their signature steak. Reasonable price and superior quality food... makes this place one of the only places left in town where an old-fashioned steakhouse meets the quality of modern techniques.
