We had planned to scoot to our neighbourhood mall for dinner last night but a sudden downpour made us come to a halt right after we hit the roads.
After getting the kids and our scooters back home, we had two options - either we opt for food delivery or get our umbrellas and head out in the rain again.
I decided to take a third option and dressed them up in their raincoats so they could jump in the puddles and dance in the rain. Guess those big smiles on their faces proved that we made the best choice of all. Dinner was awesome and we enjoyed every last bit of it, just me and these three gems in my life.
Even though the big girl was going to have her Chinese paper - a subject that she is not confident in - this morning, I still think it is better to let her relax and take a break rather than study and cram just the night before. So we decided to take a long shopping trip after dinner! Where? Why, at the supermarket, of course. Haha.
They offered to help me carry the basket and didn't give up even when it was filled to the brim at the end. Oh, they did realise they should have taken the trolley one with wheels though, but oh well. Haha. At least we have our meals and groceries settled for the next two days. Woohoo! Do you usually plan ahead of what you are going to cook? I honestly don't and it's mostly a 随心所欲 thing for me, and I only decide when I am at the supermarket browsing through the items. Guess sponaneity still suits our family style better in many aspects.
Gotta love this kind of solo parenting days when things seem to mostly go right. Because they definitely don't always. Happy day ☀, happy rain ☔, happy us ❤.
