2 reminders from ‘A Star is Born’ 💕

So it seems everyone is playing their soundtrack to death (and yes it’s pretty amazing). But two things really struck me from the movie about how we choose to live life in its transience:

(1) when Bradley Cooper held Lady Gaga in his arms and said:
.

“Look, talent comes everywhere, but having something to say and a way to say it so that people listen to it, that's a whole other bag. And unless you get out and you try to do it, you'll never know. That's just the truth.”
.

Each of us, made in our own uniqueness and journey, has something to say (whether through words or how u live and love). Don’t bury your beautiful story.
.

(2) We hold much more power than we think in our words - don’t underestimate the power of hurtful words, or likewise the power of a few kind words. Because you never know what battles the other person is fighting. Use your power wisely, and kindly. (Not gonna say much more here- go watch the movie! Haha)

Ephemeral – the fleeting moments of life.

That was what Gigi said when I asked her what are a few words that she wishes to express and remember through our Beloved shoot.

Everything in life is transient- for better or for worse. And for this, we must learn to embrace each moment in time before it slips away, whether it is in relishing a miracle or learning a lesson.
.
To be honest, this is something I struggle with all the time- consumed by worries about the future.
But my dear, the point of taking portraits and all my sharing, was never about sharing victories.
It is about sharing our journey.
