Jasmine loves to write her own music and express her feelings. This song called No Man Could, is very special as she wrote about my father. He was someone who truly loved life. The last video was a clip when we walked 2 hours hiking up and down mountains in the dark, to Jasmine’s campsite to deliver her emergency needs and then 2 hours back, he felt the area was not safe for her, so the next morning he went again to pick her up. No matter how busy he was, he would drop it immediately for our needs. He was always the first one to offer rides, accompany us to doctors appointments etc. He was always our emergency contact. My father lived life to the fullest, most knowledgeable, and righteous man. He was always genuine and humble. Everyone who met him loved him. He had a shy personality but was never shy to show his love for us.
Papi. We miss you every single day.

Today I just received this record. John Mayer - Sob Rock. Found it on my door step. I am so happy! I have been waiting this to this day! So I am so thrilling to drop this record on my record player.
First of all, my English is not my first language so I can’t explain it perfectly but I will try my best.
I have known John since 1997 so long time! I am so happy to hear his new music with this RECORD format (not online or cd!) This is the best way to hear the music! Reading and starring at the album cover or album liner notes while you are listening. Lovely to hear each side of record too! (Right amount of time for testing my ears!) So music going into me slowly and deeply.
Each song is very tasty and flow naturally song to song. Lyrics are also so personal and relate to everyone beautifully. It sounds very familiar yet very original like John Mayer! I love that part so much! Great cooking!
Love those bass playing by John too! Off course amazing top notch musicians in this record! To me, everything so right sized, simply yet very sophisticated with variety of sounds also very classic and so new same time!
So satisfying like having a best full course meal! Just so right amount and want to more! I want to hear side A again and repeat!

"The Artist", Singapore's Hidden Talent
I was walking from Clarke Quay to Chinatown on a Friday night.
I had a few glasses of Guinness that night and was really tipsy.
I was about the approach the tunnel when I started to hear a man busking and singing a rock and roll song.
I wondered who this man would be?
I continued to walk and was mesmerised by his voice. There's a tone that is just wonderful to listen to. It is my first time to have met a busker in Singapore with such a voice.
I wondered, why is he not performing on a stage, I asked myself.
I initially tipped him $10 (as we all should do). But one song was not enough. I spoke to him and asked, " Can you sing more while I film you and I will give you $50?". He replied nicely and said, "Can I pick my own song?".
He started to sing more and more.
As I was there filming, I noticed the crowd started to stop and join him singing.
Some people already knew him and was there to request a song and sing a long.
He had a duet with a woman and sang it beautifully. They covered "Shallow" by Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper.
This video showed his other side. He took a spin of the song "At My Worst" by Pink $weats. I was totally blown.
That night became so meaningful. I was tired and tipsy, but his passion radiated. I continued my journey to Chinatown to film my documentary. For now, enjoy this music.
