Honesty, is there a better way to spend an evening after harvesting grapes, backdropped by Khao Yai’s valley in the iridescent rays of sundown, before tasting wine and touring through the boutique winery? Probably not! It might be the end of the grape harvesting season at GranMonte now but absolutely anyone can visit Gran Monte, take a tour, taste wine, shop, and indulge in a large yet affordable variety of elevated comfort dishes at VinCotto.

Thinking of my friend in Paris on Christmas morning. (Actually it’s because I haven’t posted anything in 6 days and I have no festive pic of me and since you are wearing red, I think can look quite christmassy.) Merry Xmas my dear Sharon Au! Thanks for messaging me “What are you doing for Xmas??” yesterday because my friend here is always worried I’ll be alone during holidays. Don’t worry about me ok? Even though I’ll really be alone, eating leftovers, doing work (looking at some video edits), cleaning the house and doing laundry on this Christmas Day, you enjoy your Christmas opening your high SES chocolate advent calendar, having warm mulled wine on a wintry evening, cooking and eating Christmas dinner and exchanging presents with your new BFFs in your chic cozy French apartment.
Christmas must be nice in Ang Moh country. 😘

🍞 You don't need to eliminate carbs from your diet. Reiterating: if the body is given a choice of carbs or fats, it will prefer carbs for fuel. No question, no debates. I get most of my carbs from fruits, veggies and whole grains. Ezekiel has been crowned as the go-to for fitness enthusiasts but any whole GRAIN bread will do just fine! You can find Ezekiel in the frozen food section @coldstoragesg but if you're on a budget just look at the label of a whole grain (not multigrain or wholemeal) bread and opt for that instead!
Here's a healthier version of French Toast the entire family can enjoy ☺️ -
2 Slices of Ezekiel or Whole Grain Bread (I like the Evening Bread from SwissBake)
1 Egg + 1 Egg white
2 tablespoons of almond/coconut/cow milk
1 tablespoon of cinnamon
Toppings of your choice
Heat non stick pan
Mix eggs, milk and cinnamon in a bowl.
Soak bread in mixture for 15 secs on each side
Cook bread for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden. Serve and enjoy 😊
