A MUST visit when in Keningau. Make sure you be there early, sold out fast like hot cakes is the custard tart. I managed to try this during my last visit to Keningau. The coconut tart is good, but cakes a bit dry for my liking 🙈
.
They are also famous for their nasi lemak, also sold out when we got there 😅😂 next time need to go early haha.

Fook Kee’s Fried Noodle is a hidden gem in Ipoh that only locals would know.
There are a couple of noodles available here eg: "Kap Dai Meen 炒及底", "Jin Heong Mai 煎香米", "Wat Dan Hor", "Chao Dan Fun" etc. But the most famous ones are his "Kap Dai Meen" which has a mix of every ingredients at his stall.
The secret to his delicious noodles is the prawn stock. “30 kgs to boil 3 big pots of prawn stocks … finish everyday” - that’s what we were told. The prawn stock adds a rich and robust flavor to the fried noodle, and that keeps his loyal customers returning for years.

Hello everybody! WELCOME BACK TO MY CHANNEL MSKUAN
Happy 2021 everyone! My very first vlog in 2021 to wish everyone a happy new year ❤️ (BEFORE MCO 2.0)
DAY 1
?Sam Poh Tong temple
One of the biggest cave temples in Malaysia with a splendid Japanese-inspired garden view. Highly recommend to visit this place for a peace of mind and the peaceful ambience and breathtaking scenery.
DAY 2
?Tempurung cave
*Admission fee with MyKad: RM12 per person
One of the longest limestone caves in Malaysia. The interior of the cave is so cool and beautiful, in awe with the creation of Mother Nature.
?STG Tea House Café
We searched for this place in Google and it totally exceeded our expectation! The environment is really cozy and pretty. They also have a wide selection of food from Western food to local specialities. Highly recommend!
?Sourvenirs : Lam Fong biscuit, Sin Eng Ho
Before heading home, we bought some famous Ipoh biscuits from Lam Fong like “sak kei ma”, “yim guk kai” (salt baked chicken); and the kaya puffs from Sin Eng Ho. Sooo yummy ??
There were very few people at most of the places that we went, so be rest assured that it’s safe. We also wore face mask, kept a safe distance from strangers and sanitised all the time. Even had McDonald’s in the car to stay away from the crowd haha.
All in all, it was a really memorable trip. Penang and a few other states are currently under MCO, so we’re now staying at home ??? No matter where you’re living in Malaysia, remember to always follow SOP and stay safe!

Rendang Chicken from Malaysia ??
While unable to travel even around my own home country ~ Malaysia, I actually craved for Rendang Chicken during the Movement Control Order (MCO) period, unsure my craving reason ?? Though I'm not a spicy foodie, however I love foods with spices& thick gravy. Lol...Ha...Ha...?❤
Rendang chicken is a spicy & spices stewed dish originated from Minangkabau, Indonesia. Specifically, this is a speciality of Batusangkar & Bukittinggi, Indonesia. Rendang not just to cook with chicken, it can be with beef (Rendang Beef), lamb (Rendang Lamb) etc. Read more via ? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rendang
In Malaysia ??, rendang dishes are traditionally served among the Malay community. So, whenever you're travelling across the different states around Malaysia, rendang dishes can be easily spotted at either roadside stalls, cafes or restaurants as well as a famous home cooking dish for the Malay, actually non Malay too. You can enjoy the rendang dish with steamed rice, noodles, bread etc. Hmm...The rendang cooking styles, ingredients & taste may be different from state to state within Malaysia. That's the unique cultures of Malaysians
Do enjoy this cooking vlog via https://youtu.be/YUrE1B30RxI which being captured (by Sienny Yong aka SiennyLovesDrawing) from my mum's home cooking of chicken rendang during MCO to ease my craving, yeah!! It's now much easier to prepare rendang dishes with ready to cook sauces in the market. In this vlog, my mum was using the Gillies Rendang from AYA Real Food (? https://ayarealfood.com/product/gillies-rendang-120g/). The sauce ingredients are Split Gill Mushroom, Coconut Milk, Onion, Oil, Sugar, Garlic, Coconut Paste, Lemongrass, Ginger, Galangal, Dried Chili, Salt, Turmeric Leaves, Lime Leaves & Spices
Whenever you're travelling to Malaysia, do remember to taste a rendang dish during your trip
