Sri Lankan food is seriously undiscovered! They take flavor to the next fucking level.. My mother's family are Buddhist and even though I wouldn't call myself religious we would always pay respect on birthdays, New Years and Vesak day by going to the temple to light a joss stick, say our mantras and be blessed by monks. ✨ Today I visited the village temple with my dad (spot the tall German man) to show our love. 💕 Here is my favorite quote from Buddha that I have on my wall at home- "Thousands of candles can be lighted from a single candle, and the life of the candle will not be shortened.
