Don’t be that person who’s afraid of trying, who finds a dozen excuses, who blames it on everyone and everything but himself/herself.
Whether it’s something small like visiting a new restaurant, taking that 10 extra mins to style your hair a different way or “bigger” things like learning a new language, picking up videography, joining yoga classes, visiting a new city etc., make a plan (yes, it’s possible to be sensible and bold at the same time) and go do it.
If it sucks, then have a good laugh and never do it again; but if it’s amazing, you’ll have opened the door to a whole new world.
I always remind (or push) myself to try new things, ‘cause I choose failure to regret any day.
This photo didn’t exactly turn out the way I wanted it to: my lenses weren’t wide enough to capture the whole ferris wheel and IFC building, and I didn’t consider the fact that the wind would be blowing against my dress when adjusting the camera settings (shutter speed was way too low). Yet I know I’ll get better at it! 💪🏼
