'Urban Folly – Electric this' shows two women in their Plexiglas bubble, lying in front of a cityscape in LED and neon light.
The background of the work is the acrylic neon sign Urban Folly neon with lights in various colours in an abstract array, representing buildings. In front of the buildings are two women lying down, mother and daughter, cut out from transparent Plexiglas. Over their heads is text (engraved in the Plexiglas), each speaks half a poem, discussing how to be modern with yet allusions to ancient Chinese habits and symbols. Behind the board are speakers left and right (actually, they are the beloved Hong Kong cell phones) that say the English text in Cantonese. The title of the poem (Electric this) is carved in a Plexiglas cloud and hangs over the buildings like a neon sign. The entire work is put in a black protruding frame as if they are inside a casing or exhibited in some kid’s shoebox diorama.
The Urban Folly neon sign creates the virtual environment that influences the way this mom and her daughter live their lives, lying in front of the city as if on the HK beach. And the mom passes on her urban myth while the daughter comments on her mom as a ‘sheep’ that follows fashion and fads to feel unique, not aware of the transparent bubble she, the daughter, lives in herself. But inside is the ancient Chinese core, unbroken.
Through the conceptual visualisation formed by the root-like winding of the neon light, the work hopes to trigger an underlying light and reflection that resonates with citizens in a certain and also manifold way on this modern and traditional soulful land. The continuity of life in progress and the shifts in the flickering and shimmering of neon lights show us something clearer. It is the way and the opening in the frame that one might have overlooked, the energy of life in all the old and fancy of the new from the past to the present...

The world really has evolved several stages since 2020, and also since the beginning of my career- and that’s the beauty of it all. Nothings permanent, everything changes and newer, more exciting things keep coming into the mix.
Tomorrow my baby will turn 6 months. What a massive milestone, for her and for myself. As I am learning everyday to be a better mother, I am also learning to become a stronger me. I have been wanting to update fans and friends on how I am doing - and yet every time I try, I just feel like “oh gosh. Where do I even start?” And before that thought process is over, I would be busy either feeding my baby, changing a diaper, soothing her, or putting her to sleep.
The first few months of my baby’s life felt like it flew by so quickly yet at the same time pre-baby feels like a lifetime ago - everything in my world has shifted. My whole focus was her - I was breastfeeding, (which, by the way, is HEAPS harder than giving birth), making sure she’s eating well, sleeping well, and pooping well. And, understandably, paranoid about any kind of germs in the house. There was no difference between day and night, it’s just wake time and sleep time. It made no difference for me what day of the week it was, what weather it was, what’s happening with my industry, or with the world other than the daily Covid news, because I just needed to stay home make sure that my little newborn is far far far away from covid. I barely saw friends, and hadn’t eaten in a restaurant for north of half a year. As I took care of her, I barely had time to wash my own face, go to the bathroom, or sleep for a long stretch of time. I also didn’t have enough breastmilk, so I would sit there and try to pump the life out of me, just so I could provide half of a meal for my baby. I tried everything - but I do know that low supply isn’t uncommon. So- as glamorous as mom life can appear to be on social media, don’t be fooled. It’s humbling, but it’s also life-altering and the most rewarding thing I’ve ever done.
Emotionally, I’ve been so over the moon and happy. I enjoy spending time with my newborn baby, she makes me giggle and smile - even though I wish my mother was here to share old baby stories of me, and experience all of this together. But having a daughter really makes you feel more connected to your mother on a completely different level - I just know she’s happy and proud of me from up above. I’ve taught her how to semi-feed herself, how to fall asleep by herself, teaching her still how to roll, sit, and semi-stand (crazy!!), and I’ve played her tunes on my guitar like she’s the only fan in my fan club.
I also consider myself blessed that I never had issues with postpartum depression, despite suffering from mommy’s wrist. I had an amazing relationship with my 陪月/月嫂 who helped me immensely more than words can say. I have not been able to see my side of the family for over a year, but I’m blessed to have amazing in-laws and fellow mommy friends to share experiences with.
Nothing has been easy, but I am the most grateful for my husband - he was always by my side when I needed him. We change diapers together, we bathe our daughter, we sing to her together, and read bedtime stories to her together. I can safely say, that I’m MUCH happier than when I was towards the end of my music label contract. There have been some dark years there.
Hitting 6 months is a big deal for me. I can safely pat myself on my back and reminisce on THE single most biggest achievement of my life, my daughter. Obviously, 6 months is not long in the grand scheme of things, ie. her entire life ahead, but it is a big milestone for me mentally, and finally I feel it’s time to really focus on my own personally healing. I completely lost myself in taking care of her, and yet I felt the most alive and the most needed - and I found a new me in the process. It’s a beautiful kind of chaos and I embraced all of it. But yes, now it’s time for me again. finally.
Hitting this 6 month mark, I have decided to now wean from breastfeeding, take care of my body better, drink some wine, and write more songs for real. (If my daughter allows, lol). I am choosing to give myself some more me-time, read a book, get my nails done, and eventually get a haircut too. And.. start to think about dieting and training. Moms don’t get enough credit for deciding consciously to not slim down yet because they gotta breastfeed. But- with that said, all moms have their own struggles that no one knows of, so never judge!
A part of the stress that comes with social media sometimes, is actually comments on moms’ sizes, even praises of “wow you slimmed down fast!” As though that’s the most important thing of all. The toxic culture pains me and I just know it’s not the point. For me, it really was a conscious decision, just to be a mother first, above all else, at least for these first six months of her little life. And looking at her, strong, happy and healthy, I am truly so so proud of her for her growth and development.
And finally.. I’m finally ready to think about myself again as a musician. I know I’m lucky to be able to have a choice of being with her for 6 months; I count my blessings everyday. But as songwriting wheels become rustier, and as the industry evolves, I’m quite frankly not sure yet what a singer-songwriter mom looks like. I struggle to name artists in the Chinese speaking world that I could reference from - but I promise I’ll continue to bring music to those ears that still choose to listen.
I still hope that one day - little Naomi can see mama on stage. Looking down at her as she sleeps, I always imagine what she would be like as she grows up - and I hope that one day she will be able to pursue what she loves to do and focus on the truly meaningful things in life.
Thank you for reading through this thinking-out-loud random catch-up session blog thing. I’m just so glad I survived 6 months of motherhood. This stuff ain’t easy! Sending love and thank you all for the support, as always. More updates later!

Amazon ให้บริการแพลตฟอร์ม E-commerce...
Continue ReadingAll tech companies are heading into game business / invest manly
The technology industry is undoubtedly driving the world.
Because, wherever you look, things surrounding us are all related to technology companies.
Amazon provides e-commerce platforms
Alphabet, Google's mom company, search website, information.
Apple sells electronic devices such as iPhone, iPad
Facebook dominates social media platforms market.
Microsoft Develops Operating Systems and Computer Software
But did you know that there is one thing these companies are paying attention to?
That's the ′′ game business
What are tech companies doing about the game industry now?
Invest man will tell you about it.

╚═══════════╝
First start at Amazon
Amazon company has invested in the game business since 2014 after acquiring Twitch business, online video platform, game containers with 29,000 million baht.
Passing through now, Twitch has grown beyond the competitors clearly.
9,340 million hours a year videos are viewed by 73 % of the market.
In addition, they have a business called Amazon Web Services (AWS) that provides cloud database storage, which major game developers such as Bandai, Capcom, Epic Games, Supercell, Zynga are the company's customers.
Meaning that every time people play online, AWS services are also being used.
And most importantly, this business has much higher profit margins than E-commerce.
Next one is Alphabet
The company owns YouTube, the world's biggest online video platform, with about 250 million game-related followers per day.
In addition, YouTube has also launched a YouTube Gaming feature to support streaming games especially.
There are 2,681 million hours of video viewing per year. The market share of 21 % is the number 2, secondary from Twitch.
But what creates a lot of excitement for the industry.
Is Launching a cloud gaming platform business named Stadia at the end of 2019
This service may change the gaming patterns as we can buy games immediately. No need to download, install or need to use a good, expensive spectrum. Stadia will process and adjust the game quality details to suit the devices that people. Play and use.
The next company to talk about is Apple
In fact, indirect income game for Apple.
In 2019, there are people who spend in game application via App Store. App Store is about 1.2 trillion Baht. It is 70 % of all apps. Every 100 Baht will receive a share of 30 Baht.
Apple decided to expand its business to the gaming industry.
By launching an online gaming platform called Apple Arcade
Subscription subscriber, 150 baht per month. You can choose to play any game on every device of Apple brand.
There is an assessment that in the next 2 years, there will be around 50 million accounts of Apple Arcade users who will make additional income for the company over 93,000 million baht per year.
Another interesting one is Facebook.
Facebook has launched a 2018 Facebook Gaming online video feature.
Focusing on connecting to social media user base to create an advantage for people to follow contents easily under the same platform.
The company reveals 700 million video game visitors per month.
However, compared to the number of hours, Facebook Gaming also has a market share of only 3 %
But in the future, Facebook may develop new businesses similar to Google's Stadia.
Because I just bought PlayGiga business, cloud-based platform from Spain for 2,400 million baht.
And the eye-catching thing is Oculus VR owned by VR, a virtual reality technology developer with a high chance of making Facebook create successful virtual reality gaming devices.
The last part is Microsoft
Microsoft has been in the gaming business since 2001, as an Xbox gaming console developer that currently has total sales of more than 155 million machines.
And in 2016, the company launched a streaming platform named Mixer.
But the response is not as expected. There is only 3 % market share.
Get Microsoft to turn off this platform this July and rock the account with Facebook Gaming instead to collaborate with Twitch and YouTube.
In addition, Microsoft is also undergoing a cloud gaming business development. It is expected to be launched by XCloud this year.
All of them have businesses involved in gaming either way or anyhow.
But I have to say..
No matter how fierce the competition is, no one can compete with the real game owner like Tencent, Chinese tech company.
Because they have created or invested in a loud game with many players around the world like Fortnite, PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds, Arena of Valor (RoV), League of Legends, Honor of Kings, Clash of Clans
Resulting in Tencent reigning the industry's highest position. Earning up to 612,000 million baht from the game business.
Arrived here. Many people may wonder why the game market is so interesting in the eyes of tech companies?
What these companies need is inevitable bringing their technology into consumer hands to build a strong user base.
Gaming business is becoming a very large industry.
From the world population of 7,800 million people, there are 2,700 million people playing games or around 35 %
Covering people of all ages and all devices whether it's mobile, computer or game console.
So, the game market is worth up to 4.7 trillion baht and it predicts that the number will grow to 6.2 trillion baht in 2023
The special thing is gaming people always pay to buy unlimited items or features.
Different from other markets where customers may buy limited amounts of money or subscription payments which are always the same.
And the company can also offer products to customers directly in real time. When order happens, players get items immediately. Game owners get paid at the same time.
While buying normally, consumers may have to shop at the mall or wait for delivery later. The seller may have a central or multi-layer dealer to get paid and also to manage inventory.
Including game owners and players can also do game-changing activities such as gamecast reviews or serious Esports to win prize money.
This is not surprising if it says in the near future, the game market where humans pay virtual purchases.
Could be bigger than any physical product market that is tangible..

Recent statistics and analytics may agree that I am failing as an influencer but in reality, I know I'm far from that. If you feel like you are failing, think again. Step out and look at the larger picture. Today, I talk about a topic that I'm guessing a lot of influencers are uncomfortable talking about. It was important for me to confront whatever that was making me uncomfortable and to be honest so I can dig deep to figure out I was feeling that way. Once I question my thoughts, I got perspective and regained my peace.
Throughout the past 10+ years on Youtube, it really has been a bit of a roller coaster ride and I am incredibly thankful. It has taught me a lot about the world and most importantly, myself. In the end, I realise I just want to help people become their best selves for their best life. The fact that I am able to do this with this amazing platform is everything. I am so grateful.
You know how they say you rather have fewer meaningful friendships than lots of superficial on the surface friendships? I think that's what I have here now. Thank you for being my rock all these years and accepting me for who I am.
I love you BIG MUCH!
I truly believe that as long as I align my thoughts, actions and beliefs with love, I will be guided and equipped enough and wonderful things will happen. You should too! Sending you all positivity!!
