Finally tried out this home teeth whitening from @ohsofickle and here's my review:
I did professional teeth whitening at my dental clinic before a few years ago, and while there are aspects which are more professionally done in the clinic, the price difference is significant. So for many, this home DIY kit may be a preferred choice.
☑️ Before you try out any DIY products, I think it's best to ensure that you are a good candidate to use it, to bring out optimal results. Example, if your skin has always been sensitive, I won't recommend you try out skincare products without finding out more about it as it may cause you to break out, while it works like a charm for others.
Likewise, if you've always had problems with your teeth (sensitivity, bleeding gums, tooth decay etc), it's safer to ask your family dentist if your teeth is in good condition. I asked mine too, and my teeth are fine 😬
☑️ My teeth became visibly whiter after using the kit just once. But I realised that the center of my teeth and the parts away from the gums are whiter than the areas closer to the gums. This is where professional teeth whitening is done more meticulously because they will put something along the gum line to protect it before they apply the whitening gel. But I was super afraid of going near my gums with the gel cause I was using a Q-tip.
To counter this, I actually used a lips retractor from my @hasbrosingapore Speak Out game to hold my lips back, while I used a clean, small lipstick brush to apply the gel closer to my gum line. Sounds quite unorthodox, but it worked well for me hahah!
☑️ I think a huge plus point for me with this teeth whitening kit would be that I could whiten my teeth half an hour before an important meeting or event without having to rush down to a dental clinic. And I can easily do this at night before bed and it's really convenient cause its powered by our phones.
☑️ I'm not too sure how long the whitening effects can last for, but so far I can say I'm happy with it! Would definitely be put to good use when I have important events coming up!
