#happyfriday ! Gyms and studios are finally open today (check out @fivelementshabitats and @yogaroomhk for my and other teachers’ schedule ❤️). Despite a very limited capacity allowed because of #socialdistancing, it’s always great to be back!
•
I’m celebrating this special day with a #handstand #spacewalk as inspired by @danielrama_ - of course his is more gracefully done 😂
•
If you wanna try this, you first have to have a solid handstand (20-30 seconds)
•
See how I started moving with my legs straight? You can always get a friend to stand next to you to spot you.
•
Once that’s stable enough, you can start bending the knees as if you’re walking on the ground. But with your feet up in the air, it’s not that easy to wrap your head around it. So feel free to do it with a #headstand in order to get used to the movement in a more stable shape.
•
I still need to work on feet, and move my shoulders back so I’ll have a more straight line.
•
What do you guys think? Comments and suggestions are always welcome!

I posted a lot pictures of my inversion practices but rare about handstands as I never been practicing it seriously and consistently, most importantly I don’t like to fake it. Some people like to screenshot the moment of the videos that they record thousand times and finally got one moment to capture that one second of the handstand and then they will announce to the world that they nailed it, get as many likes as they can is big time for them. ·
Follow the tradition of the practice with my teachers, we hold headstand 5, 8, 12 or sometimes 20 minutes, forearmstand and handstand 3 set of 1 minute for each...... not sure about the standard of assuming people can be able to do a free handstand, =enough for camera capture? =enough to screenshot it through the video recording without blurry? ·
But to me, I guess is how accurate and how confident you can do it. Like headstand, I can go up anytime/ after serious hangover/ without warm up/ even before my teacher set up the clock, because I’m very confident to stand on my head long enough and no matter how long my teacher what me to stay, even my less confident inversion, #pinchamayurasana (forearmstand) I don’t need warm up too but definitely wait for my teacher yell ‘kick up’ then I will start to move 😂; can hold 1 minute but can’t hold it more than 2 minutes...... 😬 at least I can have enough pause time in the air to feel my body...... and now handstand, my max is just 9sec, cannot really say I already nailed it unless I can hold it within first 3 kicks and then stay up for at least 30 seconds...... · #traininginprogress ·
Anyways, I really want to post it as a post this time and to record how this journey kick off without giving any excuses by not practicing it anymore🤓
